Life’s Dilemmas
6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. 8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. 9He makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. 10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Psalms 46:6-11)
Each and every one of us goes through something we might consider a dilemma. No matter what the dilemma is it always seems to happen at the wrong time.
God uses dilemmas to make a point and sometimes to put us in a certain place at a certain time, maybe to avoid a life threatening situation. We all encounter trials and dilemmas in our lives - an unexpected financial crisis or physical ailment, an urgent plea from a friend, overwhelming demands at work, or even confusion or unexplainable anxiety within ourselves. Yet through it all, when we may not know what to do next, but God does. In every hour, even when things seem most desperate, God is always around, monitoring the situation and lifting you up when you fall.
Getting in touch with Jesus Christ doesn’t require sophisticated electronic equipment or elaborate signaling devices. Any time of day or night, no matter where we are, help is as close as a simple prayer and a willingness to accept the life and giving grace of Jesus Christ, our Savior
