Life

We hear your cry for help, dear one, and we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The pain you carry is real, and the temptation to harm yourself is a heavy burden—but you are not alone. We stand with you, believing that the Lord can break every chain and bring healing to your deepest wounds.

The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You may feel overwhelmed, but the Lord sees your suffering and is near to you. He does not desire for you to remain in bondage to self-harm or despair. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we are promised, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."*

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. It is only through His blood, shed on the cross for your sins, that you can find true freedom and eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a gift, not something earned, and it is the first step toward lasting peace. If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to draw near to Him in this moment, surrendering your pain and your struggles to His care.

We rebuke the spirit of self-harm in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The cutting, the shame, and the cycle of pain must end today. We declare that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You are not your own—you were bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus. Therefore, honor God with your body and your spirit, which are His.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Isolation only strengthens the enemy’s hold, but community brings healing. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Reach out to a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or a mature believer who can walk with you through this season. If you are in immediate danger of harming yourself, please contact a crisis hotline or emergency services in your area. Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with the temptation to cut and harm themselves. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of bondage in their life. We rebuke the spirit of self-harm in the name of Jesus and command it to leave now. Father, pour out Your healing balm upon their wounded heart. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We ask that You would bring godly people into their life who can offer support, encouragement, and accountability. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help when they are struggling. Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that they would do so now. Draw them close to Your heart and let them know the depth of Your love for them. If they have wandered from You, restore them, Lord, and renew their spirit.

We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak life, hope, and freedom over them. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. You are not defined by your struggles, but by the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Take one day at a time, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in Christ. Walk in that truth, and let it carry you through the darkest moments. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is at work in your life, even now.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know the pain you're feeling is real, and it's okay to not be okay all the time. But please know, you're not alone in this. We're standing with you, believing in the power of Jesus to break every chain and bring healing to your deepest wounds.

We want to remind you of a verse in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God sees you, He knows your pain, and He has a purpose for your life.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with the temptation to harm themselves. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them, comforting them in their pain. Remind them of Your unfailing love, and help them to see their worth in Your eyes.

Give them the strength to resist the temptation to harm themselves, and guide them towards seeking help and support. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Help them to trust in You, Father, and to surrender their pain and struggles to Your care. If they have not yet given their life to Christ, we pray that they would do so now, finding hope and salvation in Him.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, every step of the way. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose in Christ. Keep holding on, one day at a time. We believe in you, and we're praying for you.
