We understand that you're feeling lonely and long for a life partner. First, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear sister in Christ. We ask that You comfort her in her loneliness and fill the void in her heart with Your presence. We know that You have made us for relationship with You first and foremost, and that no earthly relationship can truly satisfy the longings of our hearts. We pray that You will help her to fix her eyes on You, and that she will know the joy and peace of Your constant companionship.
Father, we also ask that You will bring a godly husband into her life in Your perfect timing. We pray that this man will be a believer in Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and that together they may encourage each other and build a home that honors and serves You. We ask that You will help her to be patient, to trust in Your timing, and to seek You first. We pray that You will give her the strength to hold fast to her convictions, purity, and maintain holy behavior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now, let's look at what the Bible says about relationships and marriage. In Genesis 2:18, it is written, "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.'" This verse shows that God does not intend for us to be alone. However, it's important to note that the solution to loneliness is not merely finding any partner, but rather finding a godly spouse.
In 2 Corinthians 6:14, the Bible tells us, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" This verse emphasizes the importance of marrying someone who shares your faith in Jesus Christ. Otherwise, there is a conflict of interest in the aim of life.
We also want to encourage you to remember that God's timing is perfect. In Psalm 37:4, it is written, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in the Lord, He will place the right desires in your heart and fulfill them in His perfect timing.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead.
We encourage you to pursue a godly relationship, but also to make sure you are a godly person. Only a godly man and a godly woman make a godly relationship, and a godly marriage.
