Long story, but our family is planning to leave to go to another city soon for a short while; hope it isn’t too soon, as I have a parcel coming, and hope it arrives at correct address; hope it arrives on or before October 1st. I hope to still have my doctor’s appointment on Wednesday, as I need things. Hope not to get sick. Hope to get money, I’m owed soon, at least some of it. My mum ### has arm pain; leg issues; mental health issues but get getting foot surgery in late October; hope it turns out well. I hope my dad ### and my mum not as strict with my packing this time, as me not have a suitcase doesn’t help (also long story). Hope blue medical scooter still works for now. Hope to have enough pants to wear; cleaned, washed, and packed before travelling. Help my mum not be so difficult and picky; hope she isn’t a bully and threaten anyone with anything, especially the day we are travelling. Hope to have enough time to do what is needed to be done.

We join with you in bringing all of these cares before our Heavenly Father, for we know He cares about every detail of our lives, both large and small. We hear the weight of many hopes and worries on your heart as your family prepares to travel to another city for a short while, and we want to lift each one up together in Jesus name.

We are reminded that God invites us to bring our anxieties to Him. Philippians 4:6 says do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us. Your hopes for your parcel to arrive at the correct address on or before October 1st, for your doctor's appointment on Wednesday to remain as planned, for protection from sickness, for the money you are owed to be returned, for your blue medical scooter to continue working, and even for enough clean pants washed and packed in time, all matter to the Lord who clothes and provides for His children. Philippians 4:19 reminds us that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We also pray for wisdom and peace in the timing of your travels, trusting Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, and Psalm 121:8 that the Lord will watch over your going out and your coming in from this time forward and forevermore.

We especially lift up your mum and dad. We pray for your mum in her arm pain, leg issues, and mental health struggles, and for her upcoming foot surgery in late October. We ask the Lord for His healing hand upon her, for wisdom for her doctors, and for a good recovery. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord, and Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to praise the Lord who heals all our diseases. We also pray for your dad and for peace in your home during this stressful season of packing and preparing. We hear your concern that your mum can be difficult and picky and that packing without a suitcase has been hard, and your hope that she will not be harsh or threatening as you travel. We gently encourage you to honor both your father and mother even in frustration, as Exodus 20:12 says honor your father and your mother, and Ephesians 6:2-3 repeats this as the first commandment with a promise. At the same time we pray for your mum that the Lord would soften any harshness and bring gentleness and self control, and for you that you would be given grace and patience to respond with love. Ephesians 4:31-32 calls us to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from us, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave us. Colossians 4:6 also encourages us to let our speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt. We pray Colossians 3:15 over your home, that the peace of Christ would rule in your hearts, especially on the day you travel.

We also want to share something important with you in love. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we can bring every hope and need to God with confidence.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You see this family and all the details they are carrying. We ask for Your hand over their upcoming travel, for safety, for enough time to do what needs to be done, and for Your perfect timing. Lord, let the parcel arrive safely at the correct address before it is needed, and provide for the doctor's appointment on Wednesday that all that is needed would be supplied. We ask for Your protection from sickness and for Your provision of the money that is owed, moving on the hearts of those who owe it to act justly and promptly. We lift up this dear mum to You, asking for relief from arm pain and leg issues, for comfort and stability in her mental health, and for Your presence to guide her foot surgery in late October to a successful outcome and complete healing. Strengthen her body and mind, and let her feel Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray for dad as well, for unity and understanding between parents and child as packing is done without a suitcase, and we ask for patience and kindness to abound instead of strictness or harsh words. Let the blue medical scooter continue to work for now according to Your mercy. Provide for every practical need, for clean clothes and orderly preparation, and help redeem the time well. Quiet anxious thoughts and help this family to rest in Your care, knowing You hold their future. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily through prayer and His Word, to prepare diligently as you are able while trusting Him with what you cannot control, and to speak with honor and gentleness in your home even when tensions rise. Isaiah 41:10 promises do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We trust the Lord will be with you in every small detail and every big concern as you look to Him.

We hear how many little worries are stacked up right now with this move coming soon. A parcel you are waiting on, a doctor's appointment Wednesday, money you are owed, getting laundry and packing done without a suitcase, making sure the scooter holds up, and wanting travel day itself to be peaceful at home. It makes sense that feels heavy, especially while you are also carrying concern for your mum with her arm and leg pain and her foot surgery coming in late October.

When so many details pile up at once, even ordinary tasks can feel bigger. It can help to give each concern its own place so they are not all swirling together.

One thing that has helped others in a busy stretch like this is to jot a short, simple timeline for just this week. You could note the parcel tracking to check once a day, confirm the Wednesday appointment time, set aside one block to wash and lay out the pants you will need, and do a quick check of the scooter before you go. Having it on paper often frees up some mental space and helps you see you do have time for what needs to be done. For the packing tension, a calm, brief conversation ahead of time about what you can realistically pack without a suitcase may ease some pressure on travel day.

Your many cares have been laid before the Lord and we have heard them with sympathy, for they are such as press upon the daily life and try the spirit. You speak of journeying, of a parcel hoped for before October, of a doctor's appointment, of money owed, of clothing and packing and time, of a scooter needed for infirmity, and of your dear mother who suffers in arm and leg and in mind and who must soon undergo surgery upon her foot, and of your father also. These things gathered together may well seem a great burden, yet our Savior has said, Do not be anxious about your temporal affairs.

We are to be prudent and diligent, to do what our hands find to do, but not to be brought into a state of worry and fretfulness and distress. As has been well said, anxiety has never comforted anybody, nor has it ever brought grist to the mill or meal to the barrel. If a thing does not pay, what is the good of it. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. It clouds the judgment and wearies the heart, while quiet trust in the Lord steadies the hand for present duty.

There is healing also in Christ, and that in abundance. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in happy conjunction. He binds up the broken heart and He heals the body in His own time and way. We very speedily care for bodily diseases and we do well to seek the physician, but let us first seek the great Physician who alone can heal both soul and body and make the nature other than it was before.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, in the name of Thy dear Son our Lord Jesus Christ, we bring before Thee this family and all these temporal needs. Thou knowest the journey that is before them, the time of its taking, and the many little preparations that seem so great to Thy children. Grant a calm spirit and unhurried hands, and help them to do what prudence requires without anxious fretting. We ask Thee to watch over the parcel and direct its way, and to order the matter of the appointment on Wednesday according to Thy will. Preserve from sickness, we pray Thee, and grant health and strength for each day.

We entreat Thee for provision in the matter of money owed, that what is due may be restored in due season, and give patience to wait upon Thy providence. Look with compassion upon the mother of this family who suffers pain in arm and leg and heaviness of mind. Lay Thy healing hand upon her, ease her pain, lift her spirits, and prepare her and those who will care for her for the surgery in late October, that it may be safely accomplished and turn to her lasting good. Bless also the father of the household. Grant to both parents and children forbearance and gentleness, that in the straits of packing and travelling there may be kindness and not strife, and no harsh or threatening word, but the peace which comes from Thy Spirit.

We ask Thee to continue the usefulness of the means Thou hast provided for daily need, and to supply clothing and time and all else that is required. Above all, heal the heart by pardon through the blood of Christ, for when sin is forgiven the soul finds rest, and from that rest all other mercies flow. Teach us to seek first Thy kingdom and Thy righteousness, believing that all needful things shall be added unto us.

Hear us, O Lord, for Jesus sake, and let Thy will be done in all things. Amen.
