Letting Go

I saw my little brother today. I know I am not to question God's plan for our family. But I find it very difficult to believe that this life is what he wants for my brother. I feel as though I am supposed to help pull him out of this, but he does not want help. I feel frozen because I can not give up on him. I want him better. He is barely holding on, he's lost so much weight and he is running with a frightening crowd, he is stealing. Could this really be the way God wants him to leave this world? Jails, institutions, or death.......I fear he is on his way. This is NOT the brother I have known my whole life. He was in treatment (from alcohol, this was before METH became a part of his world), his treatment was faith-based and he carried the light. How God, how can I get him back to THAT man?!

I ask that your great love would convict each of us to repentance, and that we would choose to be Christ's love to all who have sinned against us because of how greatly we have sinned against you. You forgive a multitude of sins, I ask that we would likewise be gracious and merciful. I ask that your holy fire will fill our hearts and let us truly understand our adopted sonship. Let us no longer have identity crises and have a form of Godliness but devoid of power.
