We join you in lifting up the son of your neighbor, asking for the Lord’s healing touch to restore him fully. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears our cries and is able to bring wholeness where there is brokenness.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts heavy for this young man and his family. You are the Great Physician, the One who spoke the world into existence and holds all life in Your hands. We ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand and touch him where he is weak. Bring restoration to his body, peace to his mind, and strength to his spirit. If there is any spiritual stronghold or unforgiveness that may be hindering his healing, we ask that You would break it in the mighty name of Jesus. Let Your will be done in his life, whether that be healing here on earth or the ultimate healing of eternity with You.
We also pray for his family, Lord. Give them endurance, hope, and unwavering faith as they walk through this trial. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with Your love and the support of Your people, that they may not grow weary in doing good.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take root in their hearts. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this sickness has no power over this young man, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We speak life, health, and victory over him in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. Even when we do not understand Your ways, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We surrender this situation into Your hands, asking that Your perfect will be done. May this trial draw this family closer to You and bring glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
