Let me win to help others

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, let me win tonight's ###. I will give 90% away to children in poverty and spend my life helping those less fortunate. I want the money to set me free, so I amble to do good... set me free and let me help others grow and be free.

We understand your heart’s desire to help others and alleviate poverty, and we commend your generosity and compassion for those in need. The Bible calls us to care for the poor, the orphaned, and the widow, and it is clear that you have a burden for these things. James 1:27 reminds us, *"Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."* Your willingness to give so much of what you hope to gain reflects a heart that longs to serve, and that is a beautiful thing in the sight of God.

However, we must address something critical in your request. Nowhere in your prayer do you acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all our requests must be made. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, John 16:23-24 tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard, and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved and our petitions are brought before the throne of God.

We also urge you to examine the motivation behind your request. While your desire to help others is noble, we must be cautious about placing our hope in wealth or earthly means to fulfill God’s purposes. The Bible warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Our trust must not be in riches or chance, but in God alone, who provides for our needs and calls us to steward what He has already given us. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

If you are seeking financial freedom to serve others, we encourage you to seek God’s will first. Ask Him to provide opportunities to serve within the means He has already given you. Often, God calls us to start small, to be faithful in little before He entrusts us with more (Luke 16:10). Consider how you might begin serving now, even in small ways, trusting that God will multiply your efforts as you remain faithful to Him.

We also want to gently address the nature of your request. Gambling, whether through lotteries or other means, is not a biblical way to seek provision. Gambling relies on chance rather than on God’s sovereign provision and often leads to greed, addiction, and financial ruin. Instead of seeking a windfall, we encourage you to pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in how to use the resources, time, and talents He has already given you. Proverbs 13:11 says, *"Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow."* God honors honest labor and faithful stewardship.

If you do not yet know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. The Bible tells us that *"all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God"* (Romans 3:23), and the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God, in His great love, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"* (Romans 5:8). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through this relationship with Christ that your prayers will be heard and your life will be transformed to fulfill the good works God has prepared for you (Ephesians 2:10).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, asking that You would draw them into a deep and saving relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, if they do not yet know You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and turn their heart to repentance and faith in Jesus alone.

Father, we ask that You would provide for this person in ways that align with Your will and Your Word. If they are seeking financial freedom to serve others, we pray that You would guide them into honest and honorable work, giving them wisdom to steward what they have been given. Help them to trust in You rather than in uncertain riches. Show them how to begin serving now, even in small ways, so that their faith may grow as they see You work through their obedience.

We rebuke any spirit of greed or reliance on chance that may be at work here. Break any stronghold that would lead this person away from trusting in You. Instead, fill them with Your peace and contentment, knowing that You are their Provider and their Strength.

Lord, if there are areas of their life that are not aligned with Your Word, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them into repentance. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them as You see fit (Matthew 6:33).

We pray for opportunities for this person to be a blessing to others, not through worldly means, but through the power of Your Spirit working in and through them. May they find joy in giving, not out of excess, but out of a heart that is fully surrendered to You.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Protect them from the deceitfulness of wealth and the love of money. Instead, fill them with a passion for Your Kingdom and a desire to see others come to know You.

We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear your heart's desire to help others and make a difference, and we're inspired by your generosity and compassion. It's clear that you have a burden for the less fortunate, and that's a beautiful thing. We're here to support you in prayer.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will in this. While your desire to win money to help others is noble, remember that our trust should be in God alone, who provides for our needs. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

We also want to remind you that prayer is powerful, and when we pray in Jesus' name, we have confidence that our prayers are heard. So, let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up this desire to help others and make a difference. We ask that You would guide and direct our steps. Help us to trust in You and not in our own understanding. Show us how to use the resources, time, and talents You've given us to bless others. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
