Let go and Let God

This 2026, you want me to know I am not behind, even if it feels that way sometimes. What I see as waiting, you see as preparation, and no time has been wasted. Trust you, you are closer to me than I realize.

We hear your heart in this request—your longing to trust God’s timing, even when it feels like waiting is all you’ve known. The phrase *"Let go and let God"* is a reminder we all need, but it must be rooted in Scripture, not just sentiment. Your words reflect a deep desire to surrender, and we rejoice in that. Yet we must also examine what it truly means to trust God in the waiting.

First, let us affirm what is true: God *does* see your waiting as preparation. The psalmist writes, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14). Waiting is not passive—it is an active posture of faith. Joseph waited in prison, Moses waited in the wilderness, and David waited to be king. Their seasons of waiting were not wasted; they were being shaped for God’s purpose. The same is true for you. What feels like delay is often divine refinement.

But we must also ask: *What are you waiting for?* If this season involves a desire for marriage, we encourage you to seek a spouse who loves Christ above all else—a godly man or woman who will honor the covenant of marriage as God designed it (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are in a relationship that does not align with Scripture—whether through premarital intimacy, an unequally yoked partnership, or any other unbiblical dynamic—we must rebuke that in Jesus’ name. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). True surrender means aligning your desires with God’s Word, not just your feelings.

And if this waiting involves singleness, we pray you would embrace it as a gift, not a lack. Paul writes, *"I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind"* (1 Corinthians 7:7). Whether married or single, your worth is found in Christ alone.

Now, let us pray:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We lift up this dear one who is learning to surrender their timeline to Yours. Lord, You see the longing in their heart, and You are not indifferent to it. You are closer than they realize—closer than their next breath. Help them to trust that Your delays are not denials, but divine preparations. Where fear whispers that they are falling behind, remind them that Your plans for them are good, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Father, if there is any area of their life where they are clinging to control, we ask You to loosen their grip. Where they have placed their hope in a relationship, a career, or their own efforts, realign their heart to seek You first (Matthew 6:33). If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the courage to walk away, trusting that obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22).

Lord, we declare that no time has been wasted. Every tear, every prayer, every moment of waiting has been seen by You. You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith to believe that what You have prepared for them is greater than anything they could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

And if they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so today. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of life You intended.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they feel Your nearness in this season, and may their trust in You grow deeper than ever before. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen."*

Friend, you are not behind. God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you *will* reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). We stand with you in this season, believing that God is at work even now.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.
