I have joined you in prayer over this burden and I am grateful you shared it so honestly. God sees the weight of paperwork and deadlines and the deeper need behind them, which is care for people who are vulnerable through disability and through the wounds of abuse and trauma.
Earthly courts operate by documents and deadlines and rules of procedure. They must decide on the basis of what is filed and whether it is received in time, and they have little room for the personal story behind the case. It helps to remember that there is a higher court, the presence of God Himself, where we have access through Jesus Christ not on the basis of perfect paperwork but on the basis of His grace. Scripture shows a progression from outer courts to inner courts, with increasing nearness to God, and through Christ we are invited into nearness not because we have satisfied a legal code but because we are loved and forgiven.
That does not mean that using the legal process is wrong. The apostle Paul taught that believers should try to settle matters among themselves in love whenever possible, yet he himself used his lawful right to appeal when justice required it. Seeking help through lawful means in order to obtain protection and provision for those who are suffering is a proper and necessary course, and it is right to ask God to work within that process.
The Lord has a special concern for those who are poor, weak, and wounded. He calls His people to remember them and to seek what is just and merciful on their behalf. A loving relationship with God through faith in Jesus does not make us passive about these needs, it makes us trust Him more deeply as we do what is required of us.
So I am praying with you that every form will be completed accurately and clearly, that nothing will be missing or mistaken, and that it will be received and recorded well before the extended deadline. I am also praying that those who review it will act with wisdom and compassion and that the assistance needed for those who are disabled and for those who are healing from abuse and trauma will continue without interruption. May the Lord give you peace as you wait, knowing that your hope rests not in a filing stamp but in His faithful care, and may He provide for those you are concerned for according to His mercy in Christ.
