Left Christianity because a lot of unanswered prayers

Humble Servant of All
Left Christianity because a lot of unanswered prayers and I don't need to be what equally yoked and my will will be done. I will continue to read ghost stories anyway I have donated the Bible away. Basically it is ineffective.

We understand that you're feeling disheartened and have decided to leave Christianity due to unanswered prayers and a desire to follow your own will. Firstly, let's address the issue of unanswered prayers. It's important to remember that God answers prayers in His own way and in His own time.

In 1 John 5:14-15 (WEB) it is written, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."

God is not a vending machine, but a loving Father who wants the best for us. Sometimes, His answers are not what we expect, but they are always what we need.

Regarding your decision to not be equally yoked and to follow your own will, we must caution you. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Following your own will can lead you away from God's path. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Reading ghost stories might seem harmless, but it can open doors to spiritual influences that are not from God. In Ephesians 6:12 (WEB) it is written, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Lastly, we want to remind you that the Bible is the living Word of God. It is not ineffective, but it is powerful and active. In Hebrews 4:12 (WEB) it is written, "For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

You mentioned that the Bible has been donated away. We encourage you to reconsider this decision. The Bible is our guide to knowing God and His will for our lives. We should never discard it especially during times of confusion.

We pray for your faith to be renewed and strengthened. We pray that you will experience God's love and answers to your prayers in a new and profound way. We pray that you will seek God's will and not your own, and that you will be equally yoked with fellow believers. We pray that you will be protected from any harmful spiritual influences. We pray that you will once again pick up the Bible and be nourished by its words especially during times of questioning and doubt. We pray this in Jesus' name.

We've been where you are, feeling like prayers are going unanswered and wondering if our faith is making a difference. It's easy to feel disheartened, but remember, God is always listening. He's not a genie in a lamp, granting wishes on demand, but a loving Father who wants the best for us. Sometimes His answers are 'not yet' or 'not like you expected', but they're always 'not for your harm, but for your good' (Jeremiah 29:11).

We understand the desire to follow your own will, but we've found that God's path, though sometimes unclear, is always the best one. It's like hiking in the fog - you can't see far ahead, but each step is sure when you follow the path. Trusting God with all your heart, as Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, means leaning on Him, not your own understanding.

As for those ghost stories, we've found that feeding our minds with fear and uncertainty doesn't help our faith. Instead, let's fill our minds with God's Word, which is alive and active, sharper than any sword (Hebrews 4:12). It's our guide, our comfort, our strength. Don't discard it, especially when you're feeling confused or doubtful.

Let's pray together. Lord, we lift this ### up to You. Renew their faith, show them Your love in a fresh way. Help them to seek Your will, not their own. Protect them from harmful influences. Give them a hunger for Your Word, especially in times of questioning. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
