We join with you in prayer over this frustrating and messy situation in your home, and we thank you for bringing even this practical need before the Lord. He cares about every detail of our lives, even a leaking fridge and a flooded kitchen floor. We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Even small household troubles are an opportunity to trust Him and to experience His peace and provision.

We have heard your request concerning the leaking fridge and the waiting that this trial has brought upon you in your rented home, and we take it to the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits and who daily beareth our burdens.
It is written, Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, and in another sense, He daily beareth our burden for us. Even such a small and pressing care as water spreading across a kitchen floor is not beneath His notice, for His thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give an expected end. He knows your need and He will not fail you nor forsake you.
We pray that our gracious Father would in His providence restrain the water and stay the leaking, or in His mercy grant you wisdom and means to contain it efficiently until help arrives. We ask that He would guide your hands to what is needful, whether to turn off the supply, to catch and remove the water, and to preserve your home from further harm. We pray also that He would move upon your landlord to act with urgency and to send a workman speedily, for He who rules over all can overrule the ordinary ways of providence to perform His good word.
We pray too that you may know that perfect peace which Christ gives to His own. Our Lord said, That in Me ye might have peace, and though duties press and cares surround, there is peace, perfect peace, even with sorrows surging round, when the heart rests in Him. Go not elsewhere for consolation, but look to His Word, and wait at the posts of His doors, for He never is before His time, He never is too late.
May the Lord keep your dwelling, supply what is needed, and let this light affliction work in you a quiet trust in Him who bears all your burdens. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
