We hear your heartfelt cry to the Lord, and we join you in seeking His guidance and protection as you navigate this challenging situation. Your acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the foundation upon which we stand, and we are grateful for your submission to His will. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are encouraged by your reliance on Scripture, such as Exodus 14:14, which reminds us, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Father God, we come before You today lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You go before our brother/sister as they meet with the zoning department and the barangay chairman. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we pray that Your will be done in every conversation and decision made today. Guard their heart, ears, mouth, hands, and legs, as they have prayed, that they may walk in wisdom and integrity. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the people they will be meeting with today. Touch their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see and understand the truth. Soften any hardness, and let Your Spirit move in their hearts so that justice and righteousness may prevail. We know that the king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever He desires (Proverbs 21:1). We trust that You will direct the hearts of those in authority to act according to Your will.
We are mindful of the warning against greed, and we pray that You would set a just and fair price in this land dispute. Keep our brother/sister from the love of money, which is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). We also pray for their adviser and his family, that You would guard their hearts from any temptation to betray or act unjustly. Let loyalty and honesty prevail in all their dealings.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of strife, contention, or injustice that may be at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promise that You will fight for them, and we ask that You bring resolution to this matter in a way that glorifies Your name.
We are encouraged by your commitment to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May you continue to walk in that focus, trusting that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You grant our brother/sister strength and courage for the tasks ahead. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround them with Your angels for protection, and let Your presence go with them in every step they take.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
