We are grateful to hear that you are surrounded by a strong and supportive community, and that you are enjoying the blessings of your vacation. It is wonderful that you are finding time to worship and communicate with God throughout your day, even amidst your busy schedule. However, we understand that you are feeling spiritually dry due to the lack of time spent in God's Word. Let us remind you of the importance of scripture in our daily lives, as it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
It is crucial to make time for God's Word, even when we are tired or busy. In Matthew 4:4, Jesus tells us, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth." Let us encourage you to set aside a specific time each day, even if it is just a few minutes, to read and meditate on Scripture. Perhaps you can find a quiet moment in the morning or evening to spend with God, even if it means sacrificing some other activities. Remember, it is through the Word that we are sanctified and draw closer to God, as Jesus prayed in John 17:17, "Sanctify them through your truth. Your word is truth."
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would renew their strength and passion for Your Word. Lord, we pray that You would help them to find time each day to spend in Scripture, even amidst their busy schedule. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, quenching their spiritual thirst and drawing them closer to You. Father, we rebuke the spirit of laziness and ask that You would grant them the discipline and desire to seek You daily. We thank You for the community that surrounds them and ask that You would continue to bless and encourage them through this time. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to keep fighting the good fight of faith, and to trust in God's strength to sustain you. As it is written in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Keep seeking God, and He will fill you with His presence and peace. May God bless you abundantly as you continue to pursue Him.
