Lawyer to Turnt the Tables

Your concern for your friend in this painful situation is evident, and it is right to bring it to the Lord when someone is wrongfully accused, especially when the life of a child was at risk and your friend acted to help.

Scripture shows that false accusation is not new. Paul was called a troublemaker and accused of stirring up rebellion, which was a serious charge under Roman law, and believers were dismissed as merely a sect. Jesus himself was falsely accused of forbidding people to pay taxes and of evil motives when he cast out evil spirits, when in truth he was doing good. Job was openly accused of withholding bread from the hungry and using strong arm tactics to oppress others, when he was innocent. In each case the accusation did not match the truth, and God saw the truth clearly.

The Bible also teaches that an accusation should not be received lightly, but should be established by two or three witnesses. That principle is for protection, so that truth is carefully sought and a single voice does not determine a person's guilt. It is wise and right to want the facts to be known, for reliable witnesses to speak, and for competent and honest counsel to help present what really happened. Praying for justice is not the same as seeking revenge or wanting to point fingers in anger. The desire should be that what is true comes to light, that those truly responsible are held accountable, and that the innocent is cleared.

Jesus understands the pain of injustice more than anyone. He was innocent and yet received punishment, which was the greatest miscarriage of justice in history. Even the Roman official who examined him asked what accusation was being brought and found no basis for it, yet injustice still proceeded. Because he has endured false accusation himself, he is able to comfort and sustain your friend now.

God does not want a cold legal relationship with you where you are always trying to prove yourself. He invites you into a loving relationship through grace because of what Jesus has done. Your sins are forgiven through faith in Christ, and you can rest in his love while you trust him for justice in this matter.

Let us pray together. Father, you know the truth of what happened at work and you saw how this infant was protected. You know whether this accusation is false and you know who did what. We ask that you bring forward clear and truthful witnesses so that what is true is established. Give wisdom to any lawyer or advocate who is involved, that they would act with integrity and skill and seek what is just. Protect this friend from harm to reputation and livelihood, comfort him in this stress, and give peace to all involved, especially the child and family. Help your people to trust in your grace and to walk in your love while waiting for truth to be revealed. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our Savior. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your friend before the Lord who is being wrongfully accused at work and we have been asking God to turn the tables in this situation.

We are praying that the truth will be made known and that those who were truly responsible for nearly killing the infant will be revealed, while your friend who saved the infants life will be vindicated and cleared of all false accusation. We are asking the Lord to provide your friend with the best lawyer to advocate with wisdom and integrity and to point to the truth, for we know that the Lord loves justice and He defends the cause of the innocent as it is written in Psalm 37:28. We pray that God will protect your friends reputation and livelihood and grant peace and strength through this difficult trial.

If your request was answered and justice has prevailed please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name Amen.
