Your request for your granddaughter has been lifted up in prayer, both for the lawsuit she is facing at work and for her health in this season of sickness.
For her health, Scripture shows us that healing has been provided through the suffering of Jesus on our behalf. His wounds were borne for our wholeness, and we are invited to receive what He has already accomplished by faith, to appropriate it and trust Him for it. Many remain weak and sick simply because they have not yet taken hold of what Christ has made available. So we encourage you and your granddaughter to look to Jesus, to ask Him in faith to touch her body and to trust His love and power to heal.
At the same time the Bible teaches that the gifts of healing are given by the Holy Spirit as He wills. Not everyone has the same gift, not everyone experiences healing in the same way or at the same time, and the Spirit remains sovereign in how He distributes His gifts. We are told to earnestly desire the best gifts and to seek the Lord for His gracious work, while resting in His wisdom. And we are reminded that there is an even more excellent way than any gift, which is love. So as we pray for healing we also pray that she will be surrounded by the love of Christ, that her faith will be strengthened, and that whatever the outcome she will know His presence and care.
Concerning the lawsuit, God cares about justice and truth. The Scriptures show the apostle Paul appealing to the lawful justice of his day and trusting God to work even through legal processes to establish what is right. We are praying that truth will be made clear in this matter, that the proceedings will be fair, that those who judge will act with integrity, and that your granddaughter will have peace and wisdom through it.
We pray now for her. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this granddaughter before You. Lay Your healing hand upon her, restore her health according to Your mercy, and give her strength in body and spirit. Let her know that by the sufferings of Jesus healing has been provided, and help her to receive it by faith. We ask for Your will to be done in the lawsuit, for justice to prevail, for protection over her work and reputation, and for Your peace to guard her heart and her family. Give her comfort, give her loved ones wisdom to support her, and draw her ever closer to You. Amen.
