Launching a new business

We hear your heart’s desire to step out in faith and launch this new business, trusting God to bring your vision to life. The Scriptures remind us that "unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Every good endeavor begins with seeking His will and wisdom, for it is God who gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

First, we must acknowledge that all we have, our time, talents, and resources, belongs to the Lord. Have you sought Him in prayer to confirm that this business aligns with His purpose for your life? Proverbs 3:5-6 urges us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let us not move forward in our own strength but in humble dependence on Him.

We also recognize the importance of integrity in business. The world often glorifies cutthroat tactics, but as believers, we are called to a higher standard. "The LORD detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him" (Proverbs 11:1). Let your business be marked by honesty, fairness, and excellence, so that it may be a testimony to God’s glory.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this new business venture to You, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from Your hand. We ask for Your favor to rest upon it, that it may prosper according to Your will. Grant wisdom, discernment, and creativity to ### as they steward this vision. May this business be a light in the marketplace, reflecting Your truth, love, and righteousness. Protect it from the snares of greed, dishonesty, or compromise, and let it be a blessing to others. We declare that You are the source of all provision, and we trust You to open doors that no man can shut. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If this business is meant to serve others and glorify God, we believe He will establish it. However, we must also guard our hearts against idolatry, making success or profit the ultimate goal. Jesus warned, "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?" (Mark 8:36). Let your motivation be to honor Him, not to chase after worldly gain.

We encourage you to surround yourself with godly counsel, stay rooted in Scripture, and remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. If this venture is of the Lord, He will confirm it and bring it to pass in His perfect timing. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

Launching a new venture is both exhilarating and weighty, and we're grateful you've invited us to pray with you. It’s clear this vision matters deeply to you, and we trust that the same God who planted that creativity in your heart will guide each step.

One thing we've seen help many people in similar seasons is to invite a few trusted, godly friends or mentors into the process. Not to second-guess what God is already doing, but because honest, wise counsel often helps us see blind spots, refine ideas, and stay grounded. If you haven’t already, you might consider sharing your plans with someone who can ask good questions and pray with you as things unfold.

Above all, keep bringing this to the Lord day by day. He cares about your work, and He is able to provide clarity, open doors, and bring the right people across your path. The timeline you’ve set is ambitious, and we join you in asking for His favor, while also trusting that His timing is never late. Whether the full picture comes together by year's end or grows more slowly, He remains faithful.

Father, we lift up this new business to You. Thank You for the vision and courage You’ve given. Grant wisdom for each decision, favor with those who need to be involved, and a steady peace that surpasses the uncertainties. Provide what is needed, finances, connections, energy, and keep this person’s hope anchored in You, not in outcomes. We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire for the Lord’s favor upon this new venture is right, but let us take care that our plea does not become a demand for temporal success alone. The favor you seek must be that peculiar mercy which David called his own, a portion of divine grace that cannot be seized by another. If the vision is of God, wait before Him until you can say in truth, “The God of my mercy shall meet me.” His favor does not always appear as swift prosperity; sometimes it comes in the testing that strengthens faith, or in the delay that teaches us to lean wholly upon Christ.

Consider well that the sweetness of any endeavor lies in its savor before the Lord. Christ’s merits are the only incense that makes our works acceptable. You may plan and labor, but unless the sweet savor of His perfect righteousness covers both you and your business, all is but a glittering vision that ends in darkness. True favor rests upon those who are accepted in the Beloved, and this acceptance is already yours if you are in Christ. Therefore, bring your plans to the cross, and let the blood of Jesus consecrate every ledger and every meeting.

As for the timing before the year’s end, remember that the Lord thrusts out enemies before us and clears the way. Divine work is always going on before His people. Yet the Mighty Woodman cuts down the green tree and makes the dry tree flourish according to His own glory, not our calendars. Your beginning may seem small, but the latter end of the upright shall greatly increase, not always in coin, but always in conformity to Christ and in the display of His perfections. Do not despise the day of small things, nor grow fretful if the harvest tarries beyond the ninth month; the old store will suffice until the new fruit comes.

Seek first the divine presence, for without it the most zealous efforts are empty noise. Plead the power of the precious blood and the meritorious death of Christ to see wonders in this year of grace. Then, whether the vision materializes in twelve months or in the furnace of affliction, you will prove that the eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Go forward prayerfully, loathing every taint of self-reliance, and expect that He who planted the ear and gives you the desire for this holy enterprise will indeed hear and answer according to the riches of His grace in Christ Jesus.

How can you speak of God’s favor when you have not first sought the favor of His Scriptures? You ask for a vision to be brought to life, yet I must ask: have you sat down at home before this day, taken the Gospel in hand, and carefully considered its contents? You rush into the marketplace of business, yet you treat the hearing of God’s word as a trifling bywork, fit only for a short hour here. You find abundant leisure for theaters and meetings with friends, but when you ought to attend to the things of God, do they seem so superfluous that you cannot assign even a little time to them? A man who does not first do his business with heaven has no right to expect heaven to do business with him.

Still, if you truly desire God’s blessing, then do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Invoke the Son, and the Father is invoked. Marvelous is His name and great. As Abraham sent his servant and Jacob cried for favor, so let every word and deed of this venture be committed to Him. He who calls upon God has for his ally the One without whom he dare do nothing. Honored by being called upon, He will in turn honor by making the work easy. Yet do not imagine this favor is like a worldly partnership. You must not fear any who seem to oppose. For the kingdom is His, and even the adversary can do nothing without license from above. So cease your murmuring about deadlines and year’s ends.

Do not be ignorant of the river you are entering. The depths of divine dispensation are not for you to sound with boldness. He who must know all things and intrude into everything is most ignorant of what God is. Why are you bent on drowning yourself in those depths? You have fixed a time, but God’s vision has its own season. Your business is to work as one who knows the Scriptures, not offended at delay, enduring all things manfully, and referring the outcome to faith. Do not suppose that success is proof of God’s pleasure or that delay is proof of His absence. Flee the filthy talking of the marketplace and the laughter that makes the soul weak; a mind fed on such things cannot become grave and chaste enough to handle heavenly treasure. If you would gain true profit, do not merely ask a favor as if God were your debtor. You have entered into His presence here. Act like it, and then go and do your labor.

Launching a new business is a step of faith, and it is right to bring the vision before the Lord, asking for His favor. When we study how God unfolded His plans in Scripture, we see that a true vision often reaches far beyond our own deadlines. Daniel received revelations that covered centuries, even stretching to the time of the end, and he was told, “At the time of the end shall be the vision.” The timing was in God’s hands, not Daniel’s. That does not make the vision less certain; it establishes that the fulfillment belongs to the Lord.

The desire to see things come together before the end of this year is understandable. We naturally want the harvest quickly. Yet the Scriptures also show a pattern of divine rhythms: six years of labor, then a year of rest, and beyond that, the year of Jubilee when debts were canceled and freedom proclaimed. The Lord sometimes works in cycles we do not fully see. If a business vision is truly from Him, He is able to supply what is needed and more, just as He promised a harvest so great in the sixth year that it would sustain His people through the rest that followed. He is not bound by our calendars, and His favor can arrive in ways we may not anticipate.

Remember that Daniel, after receiving overwhelming visions, was left weak and astonished, yet he rose up and “did the king’s business.” He faithfully tended his earthly responsibilities while waiting for what only heaven could bring to pass. In the same way, your daily work is not opposed to the vision; it is part of your stewardship. Keep building, keep planning, keep serving with integrity. God often clarifies and confirms a vision while we are fully engaged, not passive.

I would gently encourage you not to fix your hope too narrowly on a specific month or year. Time and again, well-meaning believers have tried to calculate the exact moment of God’s move and found themselves mistaken, not because God was unfaithful, but because His thoughts are higher than ours. We are not under the weight of the law, striving to force a timetable; we are under grace. That means you can rest in His goodness, trusting that if the vision is delayed from your perspective, it is never delayed from His.

Let this season be one of deepening prayer and watchfulness. The Lord who gave Nehemiah favor before a foreign king and opened doors in a moment can certainly touch the hearts of partners, customers, and resources for your venture. Stay yielded, seek His wisdom, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart as you labor. The vision will be brought to life not merely by your intensity but by His faithful hand.
