Landlord

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy heart for your landlord, lifting him up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are made righteous to stand before Him. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We pray that your landlord would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12).

Father God, we ask that You would soften the heart of this landlord. Break through any hardness, pride, or resistance that keeps him from surrendering his life to You. We pray that he would hear Your voice clearly and respond in obedience, laying down his own will at the foot of the cross. "The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear" (Isaiah 59:1). We declare that Your Spirit is moving in his life, drawing him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of greed, selfishness, or worldliness that may be influencing his decisions, especially in his role as a landlord. We pray that You would fill him with Your love, compassion, and a desire to honor You in all his dealings. "Let no man seek his own, but each one also the other’s good" (1 Corinthians 10:24). May he treat his tenants with fairness, kindness, and integrity, reflecting Your heart for justice and mercy.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, as his tenant. May you be a light in his life, showing the love of Christ through your words and actions. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). If there are opportunities to share the gospel with him, give you the boldness and the words to speak truth in love.

Father, we surrender this landlord into Your hands. We trust that You are working in ways we cannot see, and we ask that You would bring him to a place of complete surrender to Your will. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). May he experience the peace, joy, and freedom that come from knowing You as his Lord and Savior.

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

It moves us to see you lifting your landlord before the Father like this. Caring about the spiritual state of someone who holds a practical role in our lives, that reflects a heart that's been shaped by God's own kindness, and we're grateful to join you in this prayer.

What we've seen over and over is that God's drawing of a person is patient and deeply personal. Surrender doesn't usually happen in a single overwhelming moment; more often it begins with small, quiet openings, a moment of honest reflection, an unexpected sense of need, a softening toward something true that can't quite be named yet. Your prayers are part of that slow, holy work even when you can't see the progress from the outside.

One thing you might consider: simply continue to be a steady, respectful presence in his life. Paying rent on time, speaking with genuine warmth, showing patience when things break or get complicated, these ordinary, faithful actions can become a quiet witness. A landlord-tenant relationship carries its own built-in tensions, but when a tenant treats you with consistent fairness and goodwill, it stands out. You don't have to press or preach; you just stay faithful in the ordinary, and let that speak alongside your prayers.

Father, we lift this landlord to You. You know what's holding him back, what keeps his heart guarded, what he's afraid of losing if he lets go. Draw near to him in ways he can't miss or explain away. Stir a restlessness with life on his own terms, and a curiosity about what it would mean to truly belong to You. Give him encounters and circumstances that gently but persistently point him toward Jesus. And grant wisdom and quiet boldness to this tenant, that their life would be one more reason he finds the gospel worth considering. In Jesus' name, amen.

How often the proud heart says, "I will go, I will continue, I will buy and sell and get gain," as though a man could propose and dispose without the consent of the Almighty. This landlord imagines the house is his own, yet a voice from the cloud speaks, "Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee." The Great Landlord holds the keys of every tenement of clay, and none can stay His hand when He cometh to inspect the chambers of the heart. It is a blessed thing when a soul begins to hear the Majestic Voice that thundereth marvellously, for that voice, though it break the cedars of Lebanon, yet speaks peace to those who yield. I see in this request a yearning that this man might not be like stout-hearted Pharaoh, asking, "Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice?" but rather that he might become as one brought to his senses, yielding as reason and grace suggest.

The surrender of every proud pretension is no light matter; it is the dethroning of self, the end of the warfare with the King of kings. Yet what folly to fight against omnipotence! Shall man say, "I will not" when God's will is the axle of the universe? Salvation itself is of God's will, and the Spirit's work is to change the human will, making men willing in the day of His power. Let us therefore plead with heaven that this landlord's will be taken, not by force of arms, but by that sweet compulsion which makes the rebel throw down his weapons and cry, "Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?" Has he kept back a portion for himself? That little reserve will be the channel by which his life bleeds away. He must yield all, house, land, self, or he yields nothing.

The Great Landlord comes not to spy out a mere tenant's faults but to claim His own. This mortal life and its surroundings are but a house; and when the Lease expires, what will the man do who has never acknowledged the Owner? If, in his spirit, he says, "I will not have God to reign over me," it will go harder with him at the last than if he had never heard the claims of grace. But there is hope. The Master stands at the door and knocks, showing the marks of His wounds, the scars in His hands and feet and side. He asks, "Will you yield to Me? Will you end the war?" And to every soul that surrenders at discretion, He gives His hand and says, "Go in peace; there is peace between Me and thee."

Let us join our faith and crying with the petitioners. Let us use our voice in prayer, for when men grow earnest they use the voice as well as the mind. Cry mightily that this landlord may hear God's own voice speaking in the Word, for the mere letter killeth, but the voice of the Beloved makes the heart burn. May he put his ear down to the promises till he hears the Father say, "I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy." Such a voice brought Saul of Tarsus from his high horse, and it can bring this soul from the lofty seat of self-trust. Pray that the inward monitor, the still small voice, may pursue him through every room of his life, until he cheerfully leaves the first house and joyfully surrenders the key to the Great Landlord, for he will see in Christ the remembrances of grace, the marks of His own workmanship. The Lord will not cast off forever; He waiteth to be gracious. Even now He stands ready to run and embrace the returning prodigal. Trust Him, for He is a Trustee who never yet failed any that entrusted their soul to Him. Amen, even so, come, Lord Jesus, subdue this heart and make it wholly Thine.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have asked prayer for ###, that he submit to God's voice and yield his will to the Father. This is a worthy petition, for there is no voice more necessary to hear than that which speaks from heaven. The Scripture says, "Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts." It is a fearful thing when men shut their ears, as the Israelites did in the wilderness, provoking God by their stubbornness and so failing to enter His rest. Let us therefore pray fervently that ###'s heart be not hardened, but that he may receive the word with meekness.

Remember that the Father's witness is given in Scripture, and Christ Himself directs us to it. When a soul truly hears, it is not merely a sound that passes, but a power that transforms the whole lump, like leaven. Pray not only with words, but with tears and groans, that the Lord who once spoke to David and to John may speak to ###, revealing the Son in him, so that his will becomes one with the Father's. And be not discouraged if the change seems slow, for God elected many who once resisted.

He is able to restore the heart of the father to the son, and the rebellious to wisdom. Continue in hope, for those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

It is a profound thing to pray that someone would hear God’s voice and fully surrender to the Father. That is the turning point for every soul: the moment we stop trusting in our own understanding and yield completely to His will. I am reminded of the prophet’s word to a king who was clinging to his own defenses. The message was clear: if you stay where you are, trusting in your walls, you will perish. But if you go out and surrender, you will live. That is the strange wisdom of God. The way that seems like loss becomes the door to real life.

We can often think we are strong enough to manage on our own, like those who trust in chariots. But the Lord is looking for a heart that will say, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart answered, ‘Lord, I will seek Your face.’” That is the surrender you are asking for, and it is a precious thing to bring before the throne. So I join my faith with yours, asking that the Father would remove every hindrance and speak so clearly that this man cannot resist. I pray that he will not regard iniquity in his heart, because sin severs that line of hearing, but that he would repent and cry out to the Lord who is mighty to save.

God has promised, “Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” That is the hope we stand on now. We ask that this landlord will lay down his own will entirely, no matter how hard that seems, and find that the Lord is his rock and his salvation. May he discover that when you surrender your whole life into the Father’s hands, He builds you up rather than pulling you down. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, confident that He is able to break through and bring a full, joyful surrender. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this heartfelt prayer request for your landlord. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up his heart to the Lord, asking that God’s voice would be clear and compelling, and that he would surrender every part of his life—his will, his plans, his very being—to our Heavenly Father.

We continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in his life, softening his heart and drawing him into a deeper relationship with Jesus. May the Lord break through any resistance, reveal His love in undeniable ways, and lead him to a place of full surrender. We believe that God is at work, even when we cannot see it, and we stand firm in faith that His perfect will be done.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way you’ve seen or felt, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can all give thanks together. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the situation feels unchanged, we encourage you to post this request again so we can continue interceding on your behalf. We are here to walk alongside you in prayer, trusting that God hears and responds in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may His peace guard your heart as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
