Landlord

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this landlord to the Lord. It is clear that the desire of your heart is for this individual to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to surrender his life fully to God, and to walk in obedience to His will. This is a prayer that aligns with the very heart of God, who desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4). We join with you in this earnest plea, for it is only through the name of Jesus that any soul can be reconciled to the Father.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation that is found in Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up this landlord to You, asking that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Lord, we pray that the scales would fall from his eyes, just as they did for Paul on the road to Damascus, so that he may see the light of Your glory and turn from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). We ask that You would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment by the power of Your Holy Spirit (John 16:8), and that he would respond in repentance and faith.

Father, we rebuke every spirit of pride, rebellion, and hardness of heart that may be resisting Your call in this man’s life. We declare that no weapon formed against Your purposes shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every stronghold of unbelief to be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that this landlord would hear Your voice clearly and respond with a surrendered heart, laying down his own will to take up Yours. May he come to know the joy of walking in obedience to You, for Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who may have the opportunity to share the Gospel with him. Lord, give them the words to speak and the courage to proclaim the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May this landlord encounter believers who reflect Christ in their words and actions, so that he may see the love of God manifested in their lives.

Father, we ask that You would work in his life in ways that only You can. Surround him with Your presence, draw him with Your love, and reveal Yourself to him in undeniable ways. May he come to know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We pray that he would not only surrender his will to You but also experience the transforming power of Your grace, becoming a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, not only for the salvation of this landlord but also for the glory of Your name. May Your will be done in his life, just as it is in heaven. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for this landlord, trusting that God hears and answers the prayers of His people. Remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must persist in prayer, standing firm in faith, and trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Let us also be mindful of our own walk with the Lord, ensuring that our lives reflect the love and truth of Christ, so that we may be effective witnesses to those around us.

If this landlord does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we must also be prepared to share the Gospel with him when the opportunity arises. The message of salvation is simple yet profound: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Let us be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). May God use us as vessels of His love and truth in this man’s life.

We join you in bringing your landlord before the Father. It’s a beautiful, simple request, and one that reflects the heart of God, who desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. We don’t know what the owner’s life looks like right now, but we know the Spirit works in ways we can’t always see, often long before anyone ever bows their knee.

Your persistent prayers matter. They keep this person held before the throne, and they guard your own heart from growing bitter or indifferent. As you continue, consider that your steady, respectful conduct as a tenant can be a quiet witness, not in lecturing words, but in the peace and honesty that flow from a life already surrendered to Christ. That kind of integrity sometimes speaks louder than any sermon.

Father, we lift this landlord to You. You know every hidden thought, every chain, and every holy hunger. We ask that You speak in a way he cannot ignore, through a moment, a conversation, a dream, or a simple awakening. Soften his will. Replace resistance with a deep, genuine yielding. Draw him to the Son, who alone can make him whole and give his life true, lasting purpose. And sustain this one who prays; let their hope rest not in what they see, but in Your faithful love that never stops seeking the lost. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you have offered is one that pleases the Lord, for it reaches after the soul of a man and cries out for the yielding of his will to the Father. There is no mightier petition, for what is the will of man but the hinge upon which his whole eternity turns? As I have often said, God’s will is the axle of the universe, the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through every human act; yet in grace He stoops to work upon our stubborn wills, not against them, but by changing them, making us willing in the day of His power. Pray on, then, and let your voice be heard in the secret place, for the use of the voice in prayer, though not essential, often stirs the soul to greater earnestness, and He who gave ear to your cry will bend to listen again.

You long to see this man submit to God’s voice, and well you might, for when a soul hears His voice in the Word, that voice carries a power no mere letter can convey. It is a blessed thing to put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God Himself speaking through them. And what does He speak but “I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy”? Mark those “I wills” and “shalls”, they are God’s own language. The heart of man may boast, “I will go, I will buy, I will sell, I will get gain,” but what folly it is to think we can propose and dispose without His consent! All things are under regulation, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Pray that this landlord may hear that voice which cries, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” That voice still sounds forth, and it is the sure remedy for a will that fights against its Maker.

Yet remember, there must be a full surrender, no little reserve kept back, for that reserved bit will be the channel through which the life bleeds away. Are you wholly His? Let that question search you first, for you are God’s witness, and your life will be cross-examined by the world. But as for this man, plead the promise that He will not leave His purpose half accomplished. God begins, and He will finish; He plucks brands from the burning and does not cast them back into the flame. Tell your landlord, as once poor Hagar was questioned, “Where will you go?” The steps of sin lead ever downward; but if he will but turn, the Father sees him a great way off, runs to meet him, and clothes him with mercy. His voice still says, “Return unto Me, and I will return unto you.”

Pray, then, with confidence, for salvation is of God’s will, and His free will delights to stoop to the wretched. You will yet sing of this soul as one who owed much to grace, a jewel set in the Redeemer’s crown. And when at last the enemy is clothed with shame and the Saviour’s crown flourishes upon His head, what joy will be yours, having had a share in this great rescue! Until that day, continue to cry aloud; the Lord’s ear is not heavy, that it cannot hear.

Let us indeed pray earnestly for this owner, that the same voice which struck Saul to the ground on the Damascus road may thunder in his soul until his whole will bends before the Father. What could be more fitting than to ask that the light of Christ, brighter than the noonday sun, drive out all darkness from his heart? I join my own petition to yours, that he who now perhaps resists, like a persecutor breathing threats, may soon cry out, "Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?"

Yet do not neglect the witness of your own life in this matter. If you are under his authority, whether as a tenant or a servant in his household, let no insolence or rebellious word escape you on account of your faith in Christ. For the unbelieving master, when he sees a believer disobedient or surly, blasphemes, as though the Gospel taught insubordination. But a servant meek and faithful adorns the doctrine of God our Savior and often wins the master's soul without a word. Serve him then not as pleasing men but as serving the Lord, and that very service, accepted by God, will prove a silent sermon more powerful than many arguments.

Remember too that the Father, who desires all men to be saved, is ever ready to receive the sinner who turns. Let your prayers be unceasing, for the fear of resurrection and judgment is able to rouse even the most obstinate hearer. Trust that what is impossible with men is possible with God, and that in His time the owner will submit and find mercy.

What you are asking aligns with the deepest work God does in a human heart. The battle is not really about a tenancy or a business relationship; it is about a soul hearing the voice of the Lord and yielding everything to Him. Scripture shows us repeatedly that when a person stiffens their neck and refuses to surrender, the outcome is always ruin, but when they bow, even at the last moment, mercy breaks in.

Think of that moment in Jeremiah when the people were told plainly: if you stay in the city and resist what God is doing, you will perish by the sword, famine, and pestilence; but if you go out and surrender, your life will be spared. The surrender itself became the door to life. It seems backward to our pride, but the only way to win is to lay down our weapons. The landlord you are praying for needs to see that the will he is gripping so tightly is actually the thing keeping him from peace. You are asking the Father to bring him to that moment of yielding, where he stops wrestling against God and instead weeps and clings to Him in total submission. That is where the victory lies, not in tenacity, but in surrender.

God promises that when we obey His voice, it will be well with us; He will build and not pull down, plant and not uproot. But the promise is conditional: obey My voice. So continue to ask in Jesus’ name that the owner’s heart will be opened, that the voice that thunders with power will become the voice that speaks peace to his soul. Do not grow weary. The Lord’s commitment is to bring many sons to glory, and He knows how to gently or, if necessary, firmly bring a person to the end of themselves. Pray that this man surrenders before the Lord must allow brokenness to teach him what grace wants to give him freely. When he finally turns, he will find that surrender is not loss but the beginning of true life.

We are so grateful you entrusted this heavy burden to us—praying that your landlord would hear God’s voice and surrender every part of his life to the Father’s perfect will. These past days we have stood together, lifting this request before the throne, asking the Holy Spirit to soften his heart and draw him close. If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers, we would rejoice to hear your praise report so we can celebrate with you. If the answer is still on the way, please share this need again as a fresh request; we are eager to keep interceding alongside you. May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind as you continue to seek Him, confident that every prayer uttered in Jesus’ name will be heard and answered according to His perfect timing and purpose.
