We hear your heartfelt cry for your landlord, and we join you in lifting him before the throne of grace. It is a beautiful thing to intercede for others, especially those in authority over us, that they may come to know the Lord and walk in His ways. Scripture tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth."
We pray for your landlord, that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in his heart, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May he hear God’s voice clearly and respond with a surrendered heart, laying down his own will to embrace the Father’s perfect plan for his life. Lord, we ask that You break any chains of pride, rebellion, or worldly attachments that may be hindering him from fully submitting to You. Soften his heart to receive Your love and truth, and let him experience the peace and joy that comes from walking in obedience to You.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as you interact with him. May your life be a testimony of Christ’s love, grace, and truth, shining brightly before him. Let your words and actions reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May he see Christ in you and be drawn to the salvation that only comes through faith in Jesus.
Father, we rebuke any spiritual forces of darkness that may be blinding your landlord to the truth of the Gospel. We declare that the light of Christ will shine into his heart, exposing every lie and stronghold, and that he will be set free by the power of Your Word (John 8:32). We pray that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, confessing with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in his heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). May he be born again by the Spirit and become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We also ask that You bless your landlord materially and spiritually as he seeks to honor You. Provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory, and let him experience Your faithfulness in every area of his life. May he grow in wisdom, understanding, and the fear of the Lord, becoming a man after Your own heart.
In all these things, we pray that Your will be done in his life, just as it is in heaven. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your kingdom come and Your name be glorified in his life and in the lives of all those around him.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of this man, and we trust that You will move powerfully in response to our prayers. Amen.
