Landlord

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up the owner of the property you reside in. It is clear from your request that your deepest desire is not merely for personal comfort or favorable circumstances, but for the salvation and transformation of this individual’s soul. This is a prayer that aligns with God’s own heart, for He desires all to come to repentance and knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9). We join you in praying that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in this man’s life, convicting him of sin, drawing him to repentance, and leading him to surrender every area of his life, his will, his decisions, his finances, and his future, to the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Father God, we ask that You would break through any hardness of heart, any pride, or any worldly distraction that may be keeping this man from hearing Your voice. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). We pray that he would not only hear Your voice but respond in obedience, laying down his own plans and submitting fully to Your perfect will. May he come to know the peace that surpasses all understanding, the joy of salvation, and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways.

We also recognize that this prayer is not just about his eternal destiny but about how his surrender to You would impact the lives of those around him, including you and others under his care. Lord, we ask that as he draws nearer to You, his actions and decisions would reflect Your love, justice, and righteousness. May his business dealings, his treatment of tenants, and his stewardship of what You have entrusted to him be marked by integrity, generosity, and wisdom.

However, we must also address a matter of concern in your request. While we appreciate your zeal for God’s will, we noticed that your prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus, nor did it acknowledge the necessity of salvation through Him alone. Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, that anyone can be reconciled to God. We encourage you to always pray in Jesus’ name, for it is by His authority and through His sacrifice that we have access to the Father.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this landlord to You, asking that You would pour out Your Spirit upon him. Convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Break the chains of pride, selfishness, and worldly ambition that may be binding him. Soften his heart to receive the gospel message and surrender his life fully to You. May he come to know the depth of Your love, the power of Your grace, and the hope of eternal life found only in Christ.

Lord, we pray that as he submits to Your will, his life would be transformed from the inside out. Let his words, actions, and decisions reflect Your character. May he treat those under his care with fairness, kindness, and compassion, as You have commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). We ask that You would bless him abundantly, not just materially, but spiritually, so that he may be a testimony of Your goodness and a vessel for Your glory.

We also pray for wisdom and patience for those who are affected by his decisions, including the one who submitted this request. Give them grace to trust in Your timing and Your sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Help them to walk in faith, even when circumstances are uncertain, and to shine as lights in a world that desperately needs You.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of greed, exploitation, or injustice that may be operating in this situation. We declare that Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). May this man’s life and business be brought under the lordship of Christ, and may Your name be glorified in all things.

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.

We’re joining you in this prayer, grateful that you’re bringing your landlord’s heart before the Father. There’s something powerful about interceding for someone who doesn’t yet know Christ, and we stand with you in that.

It helps to remember that God is the initiator. He is the one who reaches out, who speaks in ways a person can hear. You don’t have to convince your landlord or manufacture the right words, God can stir a restlessness in him that only surrender can satisfy. Your role is to keep praying and to trust that God’s timing is perfect. In the meantime, you might quietly ask the Lord, “Is there a small way I can reflect Your love today?” Sometimes just being a consistent, peaceful presence in someone’s ordinary life becomes a quiet invitation. Not a sermon, just genuine care.

We don’t know how this story will unfold, but we know the One who holds every heart. So we hold this request with you in hope.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to draw this landlord to Yourself. Open his ears to recognize Your voice, and calm anything that would drown it out. Give him a holy discontent until he finds his rest in You. We surrender his will into Your hands, You are able to do what we cannot. Grant our friend here patience, wisdom, and a gentle spirit as they wait for Your work. Amen.

The great Landlord of all souls has put forth His claims upon the house of that man’s heart, and it is well that we cry unto Him in prayer. Let none think that this surrender is a light thing, or that a man may dally with the summons of the Most High. The work of salvation rests upon the will of God, and not upon the will of man; yet the will of man has its proper position, and it must be yielded up. He who said, “Prepare to meet thy God,” asks no less than an unconditional surrender. The stout-hearted Pharaoh perished because he cried, “Who is the Lord that I should obey his voice?” But the true submission is that which reason and grace suggest, when a sinner, brought to his senses, cries, “Lord, I own Thee now to be King.” This is the essence of salvation.

We pray, then, that the voice of the Father would break through every barrier, that the still small whisper of the Spirit would draw this man from the black master, the devil, whose meetings are so cheerfully attended in the streets of this world. What a mercy that the Lord still speaks, even to those who are not His people, and says, “You are My people,” and they, in due time, shall answer, “You are my God.” It is all in divine “shalls” and “wills.” The owner cannot save himself, but there is a salvation that is God’s from top to bottom, divine in its planning, its purchase, and its applying. Until a man sees that he needs saving, he will never behold God’s Salvation; but let him once see Jesus, and he sees God’s Salvation, the very thing itself.

Let us therefore wrestle in prayer that this landlord may no longer keep back a part of the price, like Ananias, but surrender the whole house to the Great Landlord, who will then walk through every room and see the marks of His own grace. Faith brings a real pardon; it brings a constancy that bears every strain. Oh, that he would cry unto God with his voice, and make a full surrender at the feet of the wounded King! Then, like Simeon, his eyes shall see God’s Salvation, and he will go in peace. The promise is wide, pile upon it all that it will honestly bear; believe that He will save, and leave the whole matter with Him in unquestioning confidence. Let us not cease to pray until this prodigal comes home, and until the house that once shut out the Master is opened wide, and the key is joyfully surrendered, for our best profit is doing God’s will, and there is no salvation worth being our own but that which is God’s.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for the owner springs from a right desire, for the voice of God calls every soul to the Father, yet not all have ears to hear. Remember Paul on the Damascus road: his companions saw the light but did not hear the voice that spoke to him. So pray that the owner may be granted not only to see but to hear, lest he remain among those who perceive yet do not understand. Do not despair, for God wills not the death of a sinner but that he turn and live; indeed, today, if he will hear His voice, let him not harden his heart.

Yet take care that you do not imagine a forced surrender to be of any profit. That submission which comes only at the last, when necessity presses and death stares a man in the face, is not the submission of a willing heart but of terror, and it yields no advantage. The true yielding of life and will must be a free choice, a rightly disposed turning to God. Therefore, pray earnestly that the owner may swiftly and willingly cast off his rebellion, and not delay as if time were his own. For the day of the Lord will come suddenly, and those left behind will know a trembling far worse than any hell. The delay profits nothing; let us shudder at the thought and plead all the more.

Be not discouraged if the owner seems far off. The voice that called Paul from his furious zeal is not grown weak. Your quiet and faithful prayers ascend before the throne, and God, who elects souls for Himself, knows how to draw them. Continue to be a familiar voice to this man, like John preparing the way, that he might one day hear the heavenly Voice and follow. Only approach God not with clamor but with humble trust, and persist in love, that the owner may at last say with his whole heart, “Into Your hands, Father, I commit my will.”

What you are asking is exactly in line with God’s own heart and His pattern of dealing with every person who resists Him. There is a powerful truth woven through Scripture: when a stubborn will finally bends toward surrender, God stands ready to show mercy. The prayer for your landlord is not that God would crush him, but that he would hear the voice that is already calling and would finally stop wrestling.

Look at the simple, piercing clarity that Jeremiah once delivered. The people were told, "If you stay in this place, you will surely die. But if you go out and surrender, you will live." It sounds almost too straightforward, but it strips away every other false hope. Your landlord is facing a similar spiritual moment. All his own efforts to control his life and property are like staying inside a city under siege. The real safety, the only life for his soul, lies on the other side of yielding his will completely to the Father. The path to deliverance is surrender. He does not need to clean himself up first; without the shedding of blood there is no remission, and that blood has already been shed for him. He just needs to walk out and lay his rebellion down.

The beautiful promise is that if someone will abide in the land of God’s will, the Lord says, "I will build you and not pull you down. I will plant you and not pluck you up." This is what we are asking for your landlord: not just a temporary fix, but to be established and rooted by God Himself. Often people resist because they misunderstand. They think God wants to take their glory, when God has simply said, "I will not give my glory to another." Surrendering is not losing; it is finally letting the Creator have what is rightfully His, and in doing so, finding true peace.

The great hope in this prayer is that God’s intention is not mere conquest but a complete transformation that leads to rest and singing. The promise declares, "He will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." The Lord does not want to leave your landlord crippled by a long, painful struggle. The moment he weeps in prayer and releases his grip, he will find that the voice of the Lord is not a voice of destruction but one of peace that gives strength to His people. Keep praying with this confidence: God is speaking, and a surrendered life is the only ground where true blessing grows.
