We hear your heartfelt cry for your landlord, and we join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. It is a beautiful thing to intercede for those who may not yet know the Lord, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this landlord who does not yet know You. Lord, we ask that You would break through the hardness of his heart and open his ears to hear Your voice. Soften his spirit, Father, and draw him to Yourself with cords of love. We pray that he would surrender his life, his will, and all that he has to You, just as it says in Romans 12:1, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service." May he come to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for his sins.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of pride, rebellion, or worldliness that may be blinding him to the truth. We declare that the scales would fall from his eyes, and he would see the light of the Gospel clearly, as it says in 2 Corinthians 4:4, "in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them." We pray that he would be set free from any chains that bind him and that he would experience the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and boldness for those around him who know You. May they be a light in his life, showing him the love and truth of Christ through their words and actions. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path, as Psalm 119:105 declares. We ask that You would surround him with godly influences who will speak life and truth into him.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We trust that You are working in his life, even now, and we declare that he will come to know You as his Lord and Savior. May his life be a testimony to Your grace and mercy, and may he one day stand before You, redeemed and forgiven.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your landlord with persistence and faith. Remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, where Jesus teaches us to always pray and not give up. Your prayers are powerful and effective, as James 5:16 tells us, "The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep trusting in the Lord, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
May the Lord bless you as you intercede for this man, and may you see the fruit of your prayers in his life.
