We come before the throne of grace with a heavy heart for your landlord, lifting him up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are reconciled to God. We pray that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in this man’s life, convicting him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of pride, self-reliance, and rebellion that may be keeping him from surrendering his will to Yours.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of hardness that may be upon his heart. Your Word declares that "today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts" (Hebrews 3:15). We pray that he would not resist Your gentle whisper, Your conviction, or Your call to repentance. Soften his heart, Lord, and open his ears to hear Your voice clearly. Let him recognize that apart from You, he can do nothing (John 15:5), and that true fulfillment is found only in surrendering his life to Christ.
We also pray against any distractions, worldly pursuits, or deceptions that may be blinding him to the urgency of his need for salvation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that this man is not his to claim. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and ask that You would surround him with godly influences, believers who will speak truth in love, pray for him, and model the life-transforming power of the Gospel.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a personal and undeniable way. Whether through a dream, a divine encounter, the testimony of a friend, or the conviction of Your Word, make Your presence known to him. Let him see his need for a Savior and respond in faith, confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in his heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). We pray that he would not delay, for "now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).
We also lift up the relationship between you and your landlord. Father, grant wisdom, patience, and grace as you interact with him. Let your light shine before him so that he may see your good works and glorify Your name (Matthew 5:16). If there are any tensions, misunderstandings, or conflicts, we ask that You would bring reconciliation and peace, all for the glory of Your name.
Finally, we stand in the gap for this man’s salvation, declaring that it is Your will that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May he come to know You as his Lord and Savior, surrendering his life, his will, and his possessions, including his properties, to Your sovereign rule.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
