We hear your heartfelt plea for your landlord, and we join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. It is a beautiful thing to intercede for others, especially those in authority over us, that they may come to know the Lord and walk in His ways. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men; for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up this landlord to You, asking that You would draw him close to Your heart. Lord, we pray that You would soften his heart and open his ears to hear Your voice. May he surrender his life, his will, and all that he has to You, just as Your Word says in Romans 12:1, "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service."
We rebuke any spirit of pride, rebellion, or hardness of heart that may be keeping him from fully submitting to You, Lord. We declare that the eyes of his understanding would be enlightened, that he may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19). May he experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that only comes from a personal relationship with You, Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother or sister who has brought this request before us. May they be a light in their landlord’s life, showing the love of Christ in all they do. Help them to be patient and persistent in prayer, trusting in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we know that You desire all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). So we stand in the gap for this landlord, believing that You are at work in his life. May he come to know You as his Lord and Savior, and may his life be transformed by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
