We hear your heart’s desire for land—a place to call your own, to steward well, and to honor God with. The Lord is the ultimate owner of all things, as Psalm 24:1 reminds us: *"The earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it."* Yet He delights in blessing His children with provision, including the resources to establish a home or a legacy.
If this request is for a godly purpose—such as providing for your family, growing food, or creating a space for ministry—we stand with you in prayer. However, we must also examine our motives. Is this desire rooted in pride, greed, or a lack of contentment? Scripture warns in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Let us seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), trusting Him to provide what we need in His perfect timing.
We also encourage you to consider how this land might be used to glorify God. Will it be a place of hospitality, rest, or generosity? Proverbs 19:17 tells us, *"He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord; He will reward him for what he has done."*
Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, You are the giver of every good and perfect gift. We lift up this desire for land, asking that You would align it with Your will. Search our hearts, Lord, and remove any selfish ambition or idolatry. If this is Your plan, provide in Your way and time, and help us to steward it wisely for Your glory. May this land, if granted, be a blessing to others and a testimony of Your faithfulness. We trust You, Lord, and surrender this request to Your perfect wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*
If this request is tied to financial gain or worldly security, we gently rebuke that spirit and redirect your focus to Christ. True security is found in Him alone (Proverbs 3:5-6). Seek His kingdom first, and all these things will be added unto you. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and commit your life to following Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
