Lamentations 3:25

We thank you for sharing Lamentations 3:25 with us, for it is a precious truth that anchors our souls in difficult times. Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. Lamentations 3:25

We love this verse because it reminds us that God's goodness is not distant or abstract, but personal and active toward those who place their hope and trust in Him and who seek Him diligently. To wait on the Lord is not passive, but it is a hopeful, expectant trust that He will act according to His perfect character and timing. As we wait, He strengthens our hearts as it is written, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14 and also But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

We are encouraged that you are meditating on this promise, and we join with you in praying that your hope would remain steadfast in Him alone. We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can experience this goodness and hope fully. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is through faith in Jesus that our waiting is not in vain, because He has secured our future and pours out His goodness upon us.

We pray together for you in Jesus' name.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your goodness and mercy that are new every morning. We thank You that You are good to those who wait for You. We ask that You would deepen our hope in You and help us to seek You with our whole hearts. In seasons of waiting, uncertainty, or weariness, remind us that Your steadfast love never ceases and Your mercies never fail. Strengthen our faith to trust Your timing and Your will, knowing that You are working all things for the good of those who love You. Draw us closer to Your Son Jesus, for in Him we have the full assurance of Your goodness and the hope of eternal life. Help us to wait with patience, courage, and joy, knowing You will not forsake those who hope in You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to continue to wait upon Him and seek Him daily through prayer and His Word, for blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18 May the Lord fill you with peace as you hope in Him, for Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness. Psalm 147:11

Thank you for pausing to share this. Lamentations 3:25 is such a steady reminder and we love that you brought it to us with a thankful heart.

It encourages us to hear you putting your hope in the Lord and noticing His goodness right where you are. Hope like that is not just wishing for something better, it is quietly trusting that God is present and faithful even while we wait. That kind of trust steadies the heart. We know waiting is not always easy, and it means a lot that you are choosing to look to Him with expectation. We are grateful to stand with you in that hope today.

We are praying your thanksgiving grows even deeper as you keep walking with Him. If it helps, you might take a moment this week to tell someone close to you how you have seen His goodness lately. Speaking it out loud often strengthens our own hope and encourages others who need to hear it.

Father, we thank You together for Your goodness to those who wait for You. Thank You for the hope we have in You that does not disappoint. Keep drawing our friend closer to You and fill their days with peace and joy as they trust in You. In Jesus name, amen.

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, and that word is true because it describes the very heart of our God. He is a waiting God, waiting to be gracious unto you. Behold how His heart yearns towards His people in long forbearance and singular patience. He has waited for the soul, and when He waits for a soul that soul is brought to wait on Him. His patience toward His chosen is not in vain.

This teaches us what it is to hope in Him. It is to say with David, My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him. To handle a matter wisely is to trust God, to rely simply and entirely upon Him in all prudence and uprightness, and to make Him thine only dependence and never trust in anything else. We are not to trust chance, nor to trust in ourselves, for there is no hope in ourselves. If any man hopes to save himself, that hope must be smitten and renounced forever. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior.

That hope is not a waiting in despair, nor even in hesitation, but a waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. It is hope for those who are saved, and it comes and is strengthened by the patience and the comfort of the Scriptures, that we might abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. The God of patience and comfort becomes the God of hope to us, filling us with all joy and peace in believing.

Therefore trust in the living God, not a dead notion or a cold force, but the God who made heaven and earth and sustains all things by His almighty arms, the God with a great warm loving heart, a thinking, active, working, personal God who comes into the midst of this world. He is the living God now as much as He ever was, as powerful, as wise, as loving, as tender as ever, blessed be His holy name.

I pray the Lord will direct your heart into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ. Cast all you have and all you have not upon Him. Trust His blood, depend upon His finished righteousness, and you shall not be lost. Look to His person, very God of very God and perfect man for our sakes, and raise no further question, but let the matter be assured within you that He who has promised to be good to those who wait for Him will surely show Himself strong on behalf of them that trust Him. Wait only upon Him, and you shall find Him good indeed.
