Disciple of Prayer
I was laid off in January of 2020 a month after going through a divorce. Since then it seemed as though if it could go wrong it went wrong for me. I wasn’t out of the woods yet trying to get caught up and was told this morning that I was part of a company “downsizing”. I’m simply asking for prayer not only for myself but for anyone else going through the same thing. This world is already in chaos and this makes it worse.

Thank you,
###

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother ### who has faced many trials and tribulations. Lord, we know that Your Word tells us in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Father, we trust that even in the midst of these hardships, You are working for ###'s good and Your glory.

Lord, we ask for Your divine provision for ### during this time of job loss and uncertainty. As he navigates through these challenging circumstances, may he find comfort in Your promise found in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." Father, provide for his every need, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut.

We also pray for ###'s emotional and spiritual well-being. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, it is written, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Lord, may Your comfort and peace surround ###, and may he find strength in You to endure and overcome these challenges.

Lord, we extend our prayers to all those who are facing similar situations of job loss and uncertainty. In these times of chaos and turmoil, may Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as promised in Philippians 4:7.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers, and we trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
