We join with you in this earnest pursuit of God’s will, lifting these Scriptures before the throne of grace with hearts aligned to His purpose. How beautiful it is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto us as we walk in obedience and love.
Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We ask that You would indeed fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, just as Paul prayed for the Colossians. May our love abound still more and more in true knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. Lord, we long to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
We recognize that apart from You, we can do nothing. So we ask for practical wisdom, as James exhorts, knowing that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach. We pray that You would lead us by Your Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. Restore our souls, O Lord, and lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Jesus, be our Good Shepherd—let us hear Your voice and follow You, for we know that Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You.
Father, we come before You with repentant hearts, asking for forgiveness of our debts as we forgive our debtors. We pray for the salvation of those who have wronged us, that they too may come to know the grace and mercy found only in Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We declare that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name that brings us into right relationship with You.
We thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us, those who are heirs of salvation. We take comfort in knowing that You have given them charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Protect us from the evil one, Lord, and deliver us from temptation. We pray that we would do no wrong, as Paul exhorted the Corinthians, and that we would be kept from evil people, as he also prayed for the Thessalonians. We agree with Jesus’ prayer that You would not take us out of the world but keep us from the evil one. Guard our hearts and minds from sin, lies, and fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Lord, we stand on Your promise that whatever we ask in Your name, You will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. So we ask these things confidently, knowing that You hear us and that we have the petitions we have asked of You. We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, for You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You. There is no other mediator between God and men, but the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all. May our lives reflect the truth of Your Word, and may we walk in a way that brings glory and honor to Your holy name. Amen.
