Kindness soften heart, Rom 2:4, Angelic Help, Gen 19:16, Holy Spirit Work, Jn 16:8. Grace to Embody Christ's Love, Biblical Counsel Bears Fruit

Good and Faithful Servant
đź’ť Father, in Your kindness, soften my matrimonial love (we committed to each other before You in the presence of many witnesses as You remember), me, and our families to repentance, the purpose which the kindness of God is intended, Rom 2:4. Steer her heart (and all our hearts) as You do kings' hearts like channels of water. Help her to come home and be willing to meet together with our pastors like we've promised, put everything on the table, James 5:15-16.

Do as You did for Lot in helping him to escape Sodom. You helped him out of indecision by literally seizing him by angels, Gen 19:16... Do as You did for the fisherman who You chose to lead the disciples -- he was proud and boasted, said he was better than all the others, and then denied you repeatedly --- but You didn't give up on him. You gave a similar experience to his first call to be a fisher of men, and then reinstated him three times with gracious humility and even expanded his tent to shepherding others, showing us how to evangelize in early Acts, and how to be a pastor in 1st and 2nd Peter… Thank You for not giving up on Peter…

You mercifully and powerfully confronted Saul on the way to Damascus to persecute your brethren, Acts 9:1-31. Later, after blinding him, letting him mess up, make tents and then giving him some private discipleship — “while they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, The Holy Spirit set Barnabas and him apart for the work to which I called them,” Acts 13:2-3. You made him the Paul we all know and love -- a light to all the people groups... A name change signifies a change in calling and identity -- Thank You for not giving up on Paul… Don’t give up on the one I love and am so ready and willing to forgive... I truly believe You are MORE willing than I…

It was while they were ministering to the Lord and fasting -- please help me hunger and thirst for righteousness in these situation, and help others share this burden with me for her, me, our child, the entire situation and all that’s transpired, good, bad and ugly, to be turned for glory, praise and honor.

The early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to our prayers." Let that be shown to be true not only yesterday, but today and forever. Please work powerfully within me, humbling my soul with fasting, helping the word become flesh, as John says, to love The LORD and my neighbor with ALL my heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances -- my thoughts, words, deeds, actions and especially my reactions -- let the word be engrafted, James 1:22-23.

Loose angels to assist her return before group this week, Gen 19:16, Heb 1:14... Place and use the love of Jesus in me to publicly demonstrate true love of the gospel, Gal 3:1. Let me model it and teach it to myself, her, every family member, those near and dear and those far off and beyond to extended family, friends especially any who might consider me an enemy -- let me be a living ambassador Your love to be known and read by all people groups, everywhere, 2 Cor 3:2.

Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth, John 17:17. Let the Word of Christ be engrafted, James 1:22-23, that we may be effective doers. Keep her, them and us from evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, temptation, Matt 6:13, sin Zeph 3:13 and the evil one, Matt 6:13. Thank you for the angels in advance -- they're real and really do get sent ahead, Heb 13, and thank You in advance for the fact "You like to make their faces change," in Jesus' Name.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet full of hope in the One who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think. Your request reveals a deep love for your wife and a longing to see God’s kindness soften hearts toward repentance and restoration. We stand with you in agreement, believing that the same God who seized Lot by the hand to rescue him from destruction, who restored Peter after his denial, and who transformed Saul into Paul is still at work today. His kindness *is* meant to lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His Spirit *does* convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We declare that no heart is too hard, no situation too broken, for the Lord to intervene.

Yet we must also speak truth in love, for Scripture warns that "a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases" if an unbelieving spouse departs (1 Corinthians 7:15). While we pray fervently for reconciliation, we must also surrender the outcome to God, trusting that His will is perfect even when it differs from our desires. Your commitment to forgiveness and humility is commendable, but we urge you to guard your own heart against bitterness or idolatry of the relationship itself. Christ must remain your first love (Revelation 2:4). If there has been any sin—whether pride, control, or ungodly reactions—on your part, confess it and turn from it. The same grace you extend to your wife must also cover your own failings.

We rebuke any spirit of division, hardness, or deception that may be at work in this marriage. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly. We declare that angels *are* ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), and we loose them now to intervene, just as they did for Lot (Genesis 19:16). May the Lord seize your wife’s heart as He seized Paul’s on the road to Damascus, bringing conviction, clarity, and a willingness to humble herself before God and godly counsel.

We pray that as you fast and pray, the Holy Spirit would cultivate in you a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6) that overflows into every area of your life. May your love for Christ be so compelling that it draws others—including your wife—into deeper relationship with Him. Let your life be a living epistle of the gospel (2 Corinthians 3:2), demonstrating the patience, kindness, and self-control that come from the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). If there are areas where you have failed to love as Christ loves, ask Him to engraft His Word into your heart (James 1:22-23) so that your actions align with His truth.

Father, we ask You to soften this wife’s heart and turn it wherever You will, like channels of water (Proverbs 21:1). Break any strongholds of rebellion, unforgiveness, or worldly influence. If there has been sin—whether adultery, emotional unfaithfulness, or hardness toward You—convict her deeply and lead her to repentance. Give her a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know You better (Ephesians 1:17), and let her see the love of Christ in her husband’s life. If it is Your will, restore this marriage as a testimony to Your grace. If not, give this husband the strength to release her with peace, trusting You to be her God.

We also pray for your child, that they would be shielded from the effects of this conflict and drawn closer to You through it. May they see the gospel lived out in both parents, even if separately. Protect them from fear, confusion, or bitterness, and let them experience Your love in tangible ways.

Lord, as this husband seeks to embody Christ’s love, let it be a public demonstration of the gospel (Galatians 3:1). May his life preach louder than his words, and may the fruit of the Spirit be evident to all. Raise up godly counselors—pastors, mentors, or fellow believers—who can speak truth in love and hold both of them accountable. Let the early church’s example of fasting, prayer, and unity (Acts 13:2-3) be replicated in this situation, bearing fruit for Your glory.

We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue rising against them in judgment will be condemned. You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust You to write a story of redemption in this marriage—whether through restoration or through the refining of each individual’s faith.

Keep them from the evil one (John 17:15), sanctify them by Your truth (John 17:17), and let Your Word take root in their lives. We thank You for the angels You have dispatched, and we trust that You will indeed "make their faces change" as they see Your glory. May this trial produce perseverance, character, and hope in all involved (Romans 5:3-4).

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who is able to keep what we have committed to Him until that Day. Amen.

We stand with you, dear brother, in your heartfelt plea for your matrimonial love. Let us cling to the promise in Romans 2:4, "The kindness of God leads us to repentance," and trust that His tender mercy can soften even the hardest of hearts.

Let us intercede together, asking the Lord to seize your wife's heart, as He did with Lot, Peter, and Paul. May she experience a divine encounter that brings conviction, clarity, and a willingness to turn towards God and godly counsel. Let us also pray for humility and patience in you, dear brother, that you may reflect the love of Christ in all circumstances.

As you fast and pray, may your hunger and thirst for righteousness grow, and may your love for Christ be so compelling that it draws others to Him. Let your life be a living epistle of the gospel, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit.

We also bind any spirit of division, hardness, or deception that may be at work in this marriage. Let the angels of the Lord loose to intervene, just as they did for Lot. May they minister to your wife, bringing her into a place of repentance and restoration.

Lastly, let us remember that God's will is perfect, even when it differs from our desires. Trust Him with the outcome, and surrender your own heart to Him, seeking forgiveness for any sin and turning from it.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
