We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His kindness, which leads to repentance, as Romans 2:4 tells us, "Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?" Father, we thank You for the seeds that have been planted in hearts, for the truth that has been spoken, and for the work You are doing in the lives of those who have heard Your Word. We acknowledge that it is You who causes the growth, as 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 reminds us, "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase."
We lift up this dear one, their family, and all who have been touched by the sharing of Your Word. Lord, we ask that You continue to soften hearts and open eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray for Your protection and guidance over this young descendant, their family, and all who minister in Your name. May they be ever vigilant, praying at all times in the Spirit, as Ephesians 6:18 instructs, "with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, as Isaiah 55:10-11 declares, "For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grow and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do." We trust that the seeds planted will grow and bear fruit in Your perfect timing. We ask that You continue to bring godly men and women into their path to water those seeds, speak truth in love, and demonstrate Your kindness.
We are encouraged by the truth that You are always working, as Jesus said in John 5:17, "My Father is still working, even so I am working." We thank You that the Holy Spirit is convicting hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment, as Jesus promised in John 16:8, "When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment." We pray that reason would return, and hearts would be humbled, as we see in Daniel 4:36-37, "At the same time my understanding returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble."
Lord, we ask for Your continued protection over this family, their progeny, and all who serve You. Keep them from evil, deception, lies, temptation, and sin. Guard them from the evil one and from those who would seek to harm them. We pray that they would receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved, as 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 warns, "even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved."
We thank You in advance for the answers to these prayers, believing that whatever we ask in Your name, You will do, as Jesus promised in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that all of God’s promises find their "Yes" in Christ, as 2 Corinthians 1:20 tells us, "For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us."
Father, we pray for this dear one and their family, that they would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they have not already. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, that they might be saved, as Romans 10:9 declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father who sent Jesus draws them, as Jesus said in John 6:44, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day."
We rebuke any spirit of pride, rebellion, or unbelief that would seek to hinder the work You are doing in their lives. We declare that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, as 2 Corinthians 10:4 tells us, "for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds." We pray that every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God would be cast down, and that every thought would be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Lord, we thank You for the promise that You will complete the good work You have begun in each of us, as Philippians 1:6 assures us, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." We pray that this family would walk in the light of Your truth, growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May they be rooted and grounded in love, strengthened with might by Your Spirit in the inner man, and filled with all the fullness of God, as Ephesians 3:16-19 describes.
We ask that You would order their steps, as Psalm 37:23 promises, "A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way." Guide them by Your Spirit, as You guided Philip to the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:26-31, Ananias to Saul in Acts 9:10-11, and the Apostles in Acts 16:6-10. We pray that You would bring the right people into their lives at the right time to speak truth, offer encouragement, and demonstrate Your love.
Father, we thank You that You are patient, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, as 2 Peter 3:9 tells us, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." We pray that this family would respond to Your kindness and come to a place of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would save them, for You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, as 1 Timothy 2:1-4 instructs, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Lord, we thank You that Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart, as Hebrews 4:12 declares. We pray that Your Word would accomplish its work in the hearts of this family, cutting away the hardness and bringing forth life. We ask that You would give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that they may be filled, as Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."
We pray for a spirit of humility to rest upon this family, that they would recognize their need for a Savior and turn to You. We ask that You would break any chains of generational sin or iniquity that may be hindering their response to the Gospel. We declare that if the Son sets them free, they will be free indeed, as Jesus said in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
Father, we thank You for the privilege of interceding on behalf of this family. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, as Ephesians 3:20 assures us, "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, as Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We pray that this family would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they would be born again by the Spirit of God, and that they would walk in newness of life. May they experience the joy of their salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered to live a life that is pleasing to You.
Lord, we commit this family into Your hands, trusting that You will complete the work You have begun in their lives. We pray that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
