Beloved of All
🙌 Father, we thank You that Your Word does not return void, Isa 55:10, and that seeds have been planted, Mark 4:14, Mark 4:26, Mark 4:27, Mark 4:28, Mark 4:29. From You and through You and back to You be all glory, Rom 11:36. Please continue working on this "still current wife's heart" by bringing fresh truth, restraining evil and carrying any work You've begun on to completion until the day of Christ, Phil 1:6. Continue to bring others into her path to water seeds, speak truth and show the kindness of God, Rom 2:4, and across the paths of all who have heard the word from all time, especially the last several months, especially for our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny and posterity. Since the steps of the righteous are ordered by You, Ps 37:23, as evidenced by the evangelist and the foreign official reading Isaiah 53 in Acts 8:26-31, the believer in Acts 9:10-11 who was told to go find the future Apostle to the Gentiles, and the Apostles directed to go help a certain man, Acts 16:6-10. You, being perfect AND patient, not willing any perish but rather that all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, and desire all to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, even using prayer to that ends, 1 Tim 2:1-4.

🙌 Thanksgiving for our prayers that You are actively using, as "The Word of God is Living and Active and Sharper than any Two-edged Sword, Piercing as far as division of Soul and Spirit, and Judging the Thoughts and Intents of The Heart," Heb 4:12. "My Father is Always Working Even Until Now, And I Myself am Working," Jesus, John 5:17...

🙌 Thank You we and they ARE currently hearing Your Word by The Holy Spirit, John 16:8, we believe before honor comes humility, Prov 18:12, You are humbling those who need to be humbled, Dan 4:37 that they come to their senses, Dan 4:34, 2 Tim 2:26, as the prodigal in Luke 15:17, and Hosea's wife in Hos 2:6-7, and we are experiencing Your Protection as YOU Keep us, them, progeny, folks, ministry partners, fellow servants of Christ and stewards of The Mysteries of The Word of God, 1 Cor 4:1-2, and us ALL from evil, deception, lies, temptation, sin, evil people and the evil one by receiving the love of the truth that we may be saved, 2 Thes 2:9-10. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, thank You for being a rewarder of diligent seeking, Heb 11:6, and that fervent prayers of those made righteous by faith avail much and prevail, James 5:16. Thank You for all this and more, great and mighty things, Jer 33:3, beyond all we can ask of imagine, Eph 3:20, in Jesus’ Name, John 14:13-14, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this earnest prayer for the heart of the wife mentioned, and indeed for all those who have heard the Word of God in recent times. It is a beautiful thing to see the Scriptures so richly woven into this plea, and we stand in agreement with the truths proclaimed.

The kindness of God indeed leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we rejoice that He is patient, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). The Holy Spirit is actively at work, convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and we trust that He will complete the good work He has begun in every heart (Philippians 1:6). We are reminded that one plants, another waters, but God gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We must also address the seriousness of the situation described. The mention of a "still current wife" suggests a marriage that is in distress or perhaps even separation. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there is sin, whether unfaithfulness, hardness of heart, or any other transgression, it must be confronted with truth and love. The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also calls us to holiness and repentance. If there has been adultery, abandonment, or any other violation of the marriage covenant, we must pray for restoration, but also for godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:9-10). If the wife’s heart is hardened, we ask the Lord to soften it, as He did for Nebuchadnezzar, who was humbled and restored (Daniel 4:28-37).

We also lift up the patriarchal and matriarchal figures, progeny, and posterity mentioned. The steps of the righteous are indeed ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23), and we pray that each one would walk in His ways. Let us not forget that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). We thank God that His Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:10-11) and that He is always working (John 5:17). Even now, the Holy Spirit is convicting, drawing, and restoring.

We must also address the absence of the name of Jesus in the original request until the closing. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any among those prayed for do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We thank You for Your Word, which is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). We thank You that You are always working, even now, to bring about Your perfect will. We lift up this wife and all those who have heard Your Word in recent months. We ask that You would continue the work You have begun in their hearts. Soften the hardened places, convict of sin, and lead them to repentance. Restrain evil and protect them from deception, lies, and the schemes of the evil one.

Lord, we pray for marriages to be restored according to Your design, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting the love of Christ for His Church. If there has been unfaithfulness, we ask for godly sorrow that leads to repentance. If there has been hardness of heart, we ask for humility and restoration. We pray for the patriarchs and matriarchs, the children, and all who are connected to this situation. Order their steps according to Your Word, and let them walk in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.

We thank You that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6). We thank You that the fervent prayers of the righteous avail much (James 5:16). We declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name, and no other name can save. We stand on Your promises, believing that You will bring about Your perfect will in every situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We read your prayer and were deeply stirred by the trust woven through every line. You are standing in faith for your wife and for many others, and we stand with you in that hope. It is no small thing to thank God in advance for what only He can do, and we see your heart resting on His character rather than your own striving.

What you are asking, that the Holy Spirit would continue His gentle, persistent work in your wife’s heart, is exactly how He often moves: quietly, over time, through seeds planted and watered by many hands. When we see only a slow, unglamorous process, it helps to remember that genuine humbling and true repentance are usually born in the soil of patient love, not sudden pressure. The very fact that you are leaning into Scripture and praising God even now is a picture of the “kindness” that leads to change. Don’t underestimate the power of that quiet, consistent faithfulness.

A practical help might be this: find one or two mature believers you trust and ask them to join you in a short weekly check-in, not just to pray but to remind you of what God has already done. Carrying a long-term longing can weigh on the soul, and sharing the load with a few close companions can keep your own heart steady and full of thanksgiving.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are always working, even when we cannot trace Your hand. We ask You to continue drawing this wife to Yourself, opening her eyes to truth, and surrounding her with people who will speak and live Your kindness. Strengthen our friend as he waits, and fill him with fresh hope and peace. Guard all who have heard the word, and complete what You have begun, for Your glory. Amen.

Your prayer is steeped in Scripture, and this is a sweet savor before the throne, for the Lord delights when His children plead His own words back to Him. Yet let me stir you up by way of remembrance: the work you long to see in that heart is the sole province of the Holy Ghost. You may plant, another may water, but God gives the increase. The heart of your wife is a citadel that only divine love can storm. Take heed, therefore, that you do not slip into the error of thinking that your fervent prayers, multiplied texts, or prolonged anxieties can of themselves produce what only God can bestow. The kindness of God leads to repentance, but that kindness must be apprehended by a heart made tender by the Spirit. Till then, the hand of God may humble, but humbling alone is not conversion. Nebuchadnezzar was brought low and ate grass like an ox, yet he did not truly repent until his understanding returned and he blessed the Most High. There is a repentance that is but the vomit of a dog, earthly, sorrowful only for consequences, lacking that holy loathing of sin as sin against a gracious Father. Never be satisfied with a mere reformation of life, a tearful remorse, or a forced submission. Nothing short of a new heart will do, and that is a gift purchased by blood, applied by the Spirit, and known by its fruits: a turning from sin and a turning to God with all the affections.

You do well to remember the prodigal. His father saw him while he was yet a great way off and ran to meet him. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. Our God is not a reluctant listener, but a willing Redeemer, more ready to forgive than we are to ask. Yet the prodigal came to himself first; he felt the hunger, the shame, the folly of his way. This awakening is the Spirit’s work, convincing of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Continue therefore in prayer, but mingle your supplications with a deep humbling of your own soul. It may be that the Lord would use this very trial to expose what lurks within you, a root of bitterness, a seed of pride, a secret reliance on the arm of flesh. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, not with the sackcloth of outward show, but with the inward prostration of a creature before its Creator, a criminal before the Judge. Josiah humbled himself before God, and the Lord heard him. Many a man has prayed for the conversion of another and found that God was first sanctifying the suppliant through the fire.

Beware also of despising the day of small things. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword; a text long forgotten may suddenly pierce the conscience when the Spirit breathes upon it. The seeds now buried may lie dormant for a season, but the husbandman waits with patience. Let your faith be venturesome, crying, “Show Your marvelous lovingkindness!” Yet hold everything with an open hand, saying from the heart, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” God’s ways are in the deep. He may answer by bringing the straying one home with weeping and supplication, or He may answer by giving you a patience that outlasts the trial and a peace that surpasses understanding. In either case, the throne of grace remains open, and the blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel. Look not so much to the wave as to the Christ who walks upon it. When your eye is fixed on Him, the storm becomes a pavement for your feet.

Finally, give your own heart wholly to God this very hour. The great commandment is not merely to pray for another’s heart, but to present your own as a living sacrifice. The Lord says, “My son, give Me your heart.” When that is done, you will find that the anxieties which gnaw at your peace are swallowed up in the sweetness of His love. Go often to the cross, and there see how He loved you, how He gave Himself for you; then you will be able to intercede without that fretful fever which so easily besets us. The God who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give us all things. Rest in this, and let your soul delight in the kisses of His mouth, for then your faith will become an anchor, sure and steadfast, while you wait for the morning.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The delay you speak of, this continuing work on a heart still resistant, is itself a mercy of unspeakable depth. Do not despise it. The very fact that judgment has not fallen, that the thread is not yet cut, is the comfort God provides so that we might seize amendment. For if the mere postponement of a deserved blow seems a refreshment, how much greater is the gain of escaping it altogether? Let us then make full use of this delay to have a full deliverance. You rightly point to the kindness of God that leads to repentance, but see the purpose of that kindness. None of the things He commands are burdensome. If we only bring a genuine purpose of heart, we may accomplish all, though we be chargeable with countless offenses. Consider Manasseh. He had perpetrated innumerable pollutions, stretched out his hands against the saints, brought abominations into the temple, filled the city with murders, and wrought many other things beyond excuse. Yet after so long and so great wickedness, he washed away all these things. How? By repentance, and consideration.

And since the steps of the righteous are indeed ordered, as you say, and you see divine appointments like that of Philip and the eunuch, understand this: the seed you have planted and the water brought by others are not the final work. It is God who gives the growth. But what do we do while we wait for that growth? We must not simply observe the field. The prayer you offer with such fervent citation of Scripture is intense, and after prayer thus intense, there is need of much almsgiving. For this is what especially gives strength to the medicine of repentance. It is the essential herb. Do you desire the hidden working of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction and a humbling like that of Nebuchadnezzar or the prodigal? Then let your own hand supply seed to the sower. The God who ministers bread for food will multiply your seed for sowing. He asks not for almsgiving merely, but for largeness. This is not a human bargain; it is a prayer you enact with your own life. Water will quench a flaming fire, and alms will do away with great sins. Request, then, not simply that others come into her path, but that your own path and hands might become a channel of this kindness, that the ointment of your mercy might attend the word of truth, lest the word alone be a sword that the soul flees from.

Continue, therefore, to ask of God those things that are truly His to give. Ask for the contrite and humbled heart for her and for all your house. Ask for that sober, self-possessed, and awestruck soul full of compunction. These are His gifts. Do not cease asking, because as long as the day of this life lasts, the throne remains a throne of grace. Approach it boldly, without an evil conscience, and you will find grace to help in time of need. For now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Till that final hour, He sits granting pardon. Use this season relentlessly. Let the delay be not a comfort of passivity, but the fuel for a more burning supplication and a more lavish love, that what is scattered abroad may one day yield a harvest of righteousness that abides forever.

You are right to anchor your hope in the kindness of God that leads to repentance. What you are asking for in this wife’s heart is no small thing, but it is exactly the kind of work God delights to do. The human heart, left to its own communing, will chase after what it thinks is joy and find only emptiness. It will say in itself, "I withheld not my heart from any pleasure," yet end in a vexation of spirit. The true change, the one that lasts, is not a decision reached by mere earthly wisdom. It is a circumcision of the heart, an inward operation of the Holy Spirit that no argument or pressure can accomplish.

What needs to be humbled is the will and the pride that keeps a heart walking in the imagination of its own path. God knows how to bring a person to the end of that. He can place them in a house of mourning, so to speak, where sorrow makes the heart better. He can hedge them in so that the very things they chased become snares, and in that desperation they come to their senses, just as the prodigal did. You can have confidence in this, because the witness of God’s Spirit is his own internal testimony to a heart. That is what cuts deeper than any two-edged sword, dividing soul and spirit and judging the thoughts and intents. Your prayers are not merely words; they are participation in God’s own desire, for he is not willing that any should perish.

However, remember that what God intends to bring forth from her heart is a new creation, not just a restored version of the old. That means he may first reveal the hatred or the idolatry or the lust that rules there, because he will only heal what is brought honestly into the light. He will not be snowed. The very fact that he has put this yearning in your heart to pray is itself a sign that he is already at work. He places his own desires within us, and then he gives us the capacity to see them fulfilled. So do not think you are waiting on God to begin. He is always working. The prayer that aligns with "my Father is working, and I am working" is a prayer that knows the end from the beginning.

So let your heart be steadied. The steps are indeed ordered, not by a cold decree, but by a Shepherd who goes after the one until he finds it. He knows how to use others who will water and show kindness. But ultimately, true conversion is not what a person believes in the mind only; it is what they believe in the heart. And God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, is the one who shines in our hearts. He gives a new heart, one that finds its satisfaction in his will and its joy in his ways. You can thank God in advance for this, because his promise to complete the work is sure. He will do for her what she cannot do for herself, and you will see the fruit of a heart ravished no longer by the world’s empty promises, but by the steadfast love of a faithful God.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing in prayer with you for this precious and weighty matter of hearts, especially for your wife and all those who have heard the Word. It is a sacred trust to lift these Scriptures before the throne—Romans 2:4, 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, John 16:8, and so many others—knowing that the Holy Spirit is actively at work, convicting, humbling, and drawing souls to repentance. We have prayed with you, believing that God’s kindness leads to transformation, that seeds planted are being watered, and that He who began this good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

We rejoice in the truth that God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:10) and that He is even now directing steps, arranging divine appointments, and restraining evil as He protects and refines. Your faith in His perfect timing—His patience, His protection, and His sovereign orchestration of every detail—has encouraged us all. We continue to pray that fresh truth would break through, that deception would be shattered, and that humility would pave the way for restoration, just as it did for Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 and the prodigal in Luke 15.

If the Lord has already moved in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we may rejoice with you. If the answer is not yet clear, we invite you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer alongside you, trusting that fervent, righteous prayers avail much (James 5:16). Either way, we stand in awe of our God, who is working even now—sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12), and who will not delay in fulfilling His promises.

May He continue to bless you with His presence, strengthen your faith, and grant you peace as you seek Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray all these things in His mighty and precious name. Amen.
