We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. It is clear that you are carrying many burdens, physical ailments, financial strain, and the weight of providing for your children’s education. We stand with you in faith, trusting that God hears your cries and sees your needs.
First, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and affliction in the name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We pray for your healing and your wife’s healing, that the Lord would touch your bodies and restore you to full health. High blood pressure and headaches are not from God, and we command them to leave in Jesus’ name. We also pray for peace to replace worry, for the Lord says in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Your concern for your children’s education is understandable, but we remind you that God is your provider. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that the Lord would open doors of provision for your children’s school and college fees. We declare that no weapon formed against your finances shall prosper, and that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also lift up your marriage, asking the Lord to strengthen the bond between you and your wife. In times of sickness and financial stress, it is easy for tension to rise, but we pray that the love of Christ would cover you both. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." May the Lord grant you both patience, unity, and faith as you navigate these challenges together.
We must also address the mention of "Praise the Lord" in your request. While we appreciate the sentiment, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace, healing, and provision.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother and his family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon him and his wife. We rebuke sickness and declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Father, we ask that You would calm their hearts and replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace. Provide for their every need, Lord, especially the financial burdens they are carrying. Open doors of opportunity and supply their children’s school fees according to Your riches in glory.
Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and help them to lean on You and one another in this difficult season. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
