Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart for your children comes through so clearly in this prayer, and I join you in bringing them before the Lord.
God sees the place where each of them is right now. Like a shepherd who was guided step by step to the right place at the right time, the Lord is able to guide your daughter and your son and to keep His hand upon them. Scripture shows us a mother who felt unloved and overlooked, and she named her sons out of that pain, saying God has seen my affliction, God has heard that I am not loved, God has taken away my reproach. The Lord still sees and hears in that same way. He sees the hurt and resentment that can settle in a young heart, He hears the cries that are not always put into words, and He is the one who can lift reproach and bring hope for the future.
For your daughter in this rebellious phase, know that God understands rebellion. His own people were often described as rebellious and hard hearted, yet He did not stop loving them or calling to them. He told His servants to keep speaking His words whether they were heard or not, and not to be afraid. You can keep loving her, praying for her, and speaking truth to her with gentleness while trusting God to work in her heart. Only He can heal what is wounded deep inside, the anger and hurt in both body and soul. That inner healing is real, and He is able to soften and touch her heart and turn it toward what is good.
For your son, the Lord is always sensitive and considerate toward our physical needs and limitations. Jesus showed that compassion constantly. I believe with you for His healing and help in communication and behavior. Healing belongs to God and it comes in many ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, and sometimes it comes through the very processes God has built into our bodies and minds. In every case it is still His work, and it is still divine. Whether the need is physical, mental, or emotional, He is able to bring wholeness in the way and timing that is best.
I pray with you for that covering and protection you asked for, from the top of the head to the soles of the feet, through the blood of Jesus. I pray that the Lord will keep both of them from evil and harm and from influences that would pull them away from Him, and that He will help them do well in school and in life. Above all, I pray they will come to know for themselves that God loves them and wants what is best for them, that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life, and that His Holy Spirit will be with them to lead them on the right path.
Thank you for placing your faith in Him and leaving everything in His hands. He is trustworthy to keep what you commit to Him. May He give you peace as you continue to pray, and may He draw your daughter and your son closer to Himself and make them healthy, whole, and joyful as they walk with Him. In Jesus name, amen.
