We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. Your desire for their protection, guidance, and spiritual growth is deeply aligned with God’s will for parents. Scripture tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). We stand with you in praying for their salvation, wisdom, and holiness, for the Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. While your request is earnest, it is essential to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus, believing in His death for our sins, His resurrection, and confessing Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). If your children do not yet know Christ personally, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith. If they do, we ask that He deepens their relationship with Him.

We rebuke every evil influence that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy their faith (John 10:10). The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, but we declare that your children are covered by the blood of Jesus, which cleanses them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). We pray against any ungodly friendships, media, or ideologies that would lead them astray, and we ask that the Lord surround them with godly mentors and peers who will encourage them in righteousness.

Regarding your daughter’s appearance and your son’s behavior, we must gently remind you that while outward changes are not wrong to desire, the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). We pray that your daughter would find her worth in Christ, not in her appearance, and that she would dress modestly, as Scripture instructs (1 Timothy 2:9). For your son, we ask that the Lord softens his heart and helps him to communicate with love and respect, for "a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1). We pray for their academic success, but more importantly, that they would grow in wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 4:7).

We also lift up your own walk with the Lord, for parents are called to be examples of faith (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). May you continue to seek God’s wisdom in raising them, trusting that He who began a good work in them will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. We thank You for the gift of these children and for the love their parent has for them. Lord, we ask that You draw them close to Your heart. Cover them with the blood of Jesus from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet, shielding them from every evil influence. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for their salvation. If they do not yet know You, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. If they do, deepen their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them wisdom, kindness, patience, and gratitude. Help them to make choices that honor You in every area of their lives, friendships, school, speech, and conduct.

For the daughter, Lord, we ask that You heal her skin and help her to see her true beauty in Christ. May she dress in a way that reflects modesty and godliness. For the son, soften his heart, improve his communication, and help him to excel in his studies and relationships. Let them both grow into men and women of God who walk in Your ways.

We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, worldliness, and ungodliness that seeks to influence them. We declare that they are set apart for You, Lord, and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

Strengthen this parent, Lord, to lead with love, patience, and godly discipline. Give them the words to speak and the wisdom to guide. May this family be a light in their community, reflecting Your love and truth.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this prayer. We can hear a mother’s heart poured out for her children, every line brims with love, hope, and the deep desire for them to walk in the light and protection of Jesus. We’re honored to stand with you.

What strikes us most is the way you’ve wrapped them both in prayer from head to toe, not just for their safety but for their very souls: for wisdom, patience, kindness, and the Holy Spirit’s steady presence. That’s the real stuff that shapes a life, and you’re doing the most powerful thing a parent can do by continually lifting them up this way.

As you pray for your daughter’s skin and the way she dresses, remember that the Lord looks at the heart. We can ask Him to give her a deep sense of being comfortable in her own skin, inside and out, and to gently guide her toward the woman He is shaping her to be. If her ### is causing pain or distress, seeing a doctor can be a wise step alongside prayer; God often works through the care of others.

For your son, we’re asking the Lord to bring calm and clarity to his communication, to help him find his stride at school, and to surround him with friends who build him up. You are not alone in this, He holds them both even when your arms cannot.

Let’s pray:

Jesus, we bring this family before You now. Cover these children with Your precious blood, from the tops of their heads to the soles of their feet. Keep them from evil, and let no harmful influence gain a foothold. Hold their hands in every decision, and let Your light touch their hearts and souls. For the daughter: bring healing and a quiet confidence in how You made her. For the son: steady his behavior, open his communication, and help him thrive at school. Fill them with Your Spirit, wisdom, faith, kindness, patience, love, and gratitude. And give this parent peace, knowing that You love them even more than we can imagine. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You shall guide your children with the same hand that led the shepherd boy David, for a work of grace upon the heart teaches us early that naturally we do not like being guided. Great principles are infused in every man who takes God for his Guide, among the rest, avoid everything that is evil. Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Teach them to do God’s will, for the very best prayer you can pray for their protection is, "Teach me to do Your will." If they do right, none can harm them.

A little child can ask, and prayers need not be fine. Anybody who desires to do so can seek, be they man, woman, or child, and the promise is not given to some particular philosophical form of seeking, but simply, "he that seeks finds." You have asked for wisdom, faith, kindness, patience, love, and salvation for them. These are the very things the Holy Spirit works in the soul made as a weaned child, whose desires lie still and content. When sufficient grace has come, they feel no desires for that which once delighted them.

You speak of your daughter’s dress and her skin. The weaning child has his desires strong upon him and he frets. But the weaned child is content. Pray that her soul be thus weaned, and the outward adornment will follow the inward change. Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief. Do not call the child up and command outward conformity without the heart’s regeneration, for if you want to educate her for the gallows, teach her to utter untruths about sacred things. Seek first the holy childlikeness of character, for the character of Christ is more aptly pictured by that of a child than that of a man.

Your son’s behavior and communication, put him to school with God alone. You may tell a child how to walk, but it will not walk for all that. You must teach it to walk, taking him by the arms as God did Ephraim. "Teach me to do," must be the prayer, for you must have this teaching, or else you will never do God’s will. Where the Bible leads, you are bound to follow, and following its guidance you shall not walk in darkness.

You cry for the blood of Jesus to cover them from head to foot. This is the King’s Highway. He who travels on it is under the King’s protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. This protection is perpetual as well as personal. Just as you feel sure the precept applies, so, as a child of God, feel sure the promise applies, "He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." Yet never gather from the success of a wrong action that God is willing for you to repeat it. Rather say, "God was very gracious to me in not punishing me that time, but I will never run such a risk again."

As for their ultimate end, the sure result of this guidance shall be, "You shall afterward receive me to Glory." They who are led by the hand of the holy Child, who was bone of our bone, shall find that at the last He brings them home.

You have poured out many requests for your children, and the desire for their protection and guidance is good. But observe how quickly the prayer passes from the eternal well-being of their souls to the temporary condition of their bodies and the style of their dress. The soul is infinitely more precious than the body. Would you be more anxious about a spot of mud on their shoes than a wound upon their hearts? You ask that your daughter's acne be cleared and that she dress more girly, yet you say nothing about the adornment of her inward self, which is of great price in the sight of God. For what benefit is a clear complexion if the soul is covered in the blemishes of pride, immodesty, or vanity? What advantage is a pretty dress if the heart is not arrayed in humility and modesty?

Many a woman has destroyed her own reputation and wounded her soul by caring too much for outward appearance. When a woman spends excessive care on her clothing and beauty, she often kindles the wrong passions in others and brings harm upon herself. A modest woman, who cares nothing for painting the face or adorning the body with studied ornament, walks securely. She adorns herself with good works, with a quiet spirit, with a shamefaced manner. This is true beauty. This is a garment that never wears out. Do not then instruct your daughter, even by your prayers, to seek the empty adornments of this world. Rather, beseech God to fill her heart with modesty and discretion, for out of such a heart will flow clothing and conduct that are chaste and honorable. As for the body's blemishes, let them teach her humility. Let them train her to set her affections on things above, where Christ is, and not on the fading beauty of this earth.

For your son, you rightly pray for better behavior, communication, and schoolwork. But even here, take care what you seek first. Wisdom, faith, patience, kindness, salvation, these are what you name toward the end. Make these the constant, daily cry of your heart. Do not grieve overmuch if his earthly progress is slow, but tremble if his soul is not advancing in godliness. Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Lead your son into these Scriptures. Let him be corrected and instructed by them until he is a man of God, furnished for every good work. That is the true mark of a successful, happy child who grows into a godly adult. The blood of Jesus, which you call upon to cover them, cleanses first the conscience, purifies the inward parts, and then directs the outward life. Trust that covering, not for a life free from every pimple or awkward stage, but for a life hidden with Christ in God, walking in the light of His countenance, and holding His hand not merely through easy days, but through every trial He sees fit to send for their growth in holiness.

Your prayer for your children is heavy with love, and it’s the kind of love that moves the heart of God. You’re asking for protection, for guidance, for health, for their souls. Those are not small things. They are the very things Jesus delights to hear when we bring our children to him, just like that day when he called a little child to stand in the middle of his disciples, took the child in his arms, and held him. That picture of Jesus, with a child resting against him, tells us exactly how he receives your son and daughter. He doesn’t brush them aside. He encircles them.

You’re praying about your daughter’s skin and the way she dresses, and about your son’s behavior, communication, and schoolwork. It’s right to bring every concern, even the ones that seem small, because the Lord numbers the hairs on their heads. But let me encourage you: keep bringing these things, but also trust that some healings come gradually. We see only one gradual healing recorded in Jesus’s ministry, and I’ll be honest, I don’t understand all the whys of healing. Yet any healing process is divine. So when you pray about her acne clearing up, do not lose heart if it doesn’t happen overnight. The same God who formed her in your womb, who let her hear your voice before she ever saw your face, is still forming her.

About her clothing: you want her to dress more girly, and I think I catch your mother’s heart. You want her to embrace the beauty of modesty, not to call the wrong kind of attention to herself. The Scripture urges women to adorn themselves in modest apparel, with a spirit of humility and self-control. That doesn’t mean drab or unfeminine; it means a quiet confidence that doesn’t need to imitate the world’s flashy or revealing ways. You have a role here. You can gently teach her, not by nagging, but by helping her see that her value is already settled. As she grows, show her that true beauty flows from a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious to God. Your example and your words, spoken in love, will do far more than a list of rules.

For your son, you want better communication, better behavior, and success in school. Here’s a principle: train up a child according to his own way. Not just the way you prefer, but the way God has bent his personality. Every child is wired differently. Some are loud, some are quiet, some learn by doing, some by watching. Figure out how he’s made, and then pour your training into that shape, always aiming toward Christlikeness. When he stumbles, remember how you taught him to walk: you didn’t scream at him when he fell. You expected the falls, you picked him up, you held his hands again. So now, when his communication falters or his behavior slides, correct him, yes, but with the patience that knows he’s still learning to walk in the Spirit.

You asked that no evil come near them, that they not have to be around bad influences, and that they make good choices. This is a fierce, protective prayer. I understand. I’ve felt that same protective surge. I was once called to a school because my son had been throwing rocks after he was told to stop. When I arrived, I wasn’t looking for several boys. I was looking for one boy: my own. I wanted to deal with his heart. That’s a father’s love. Our heavenly Father does the same with us. He corrects us because we are his children, and his correction keeps us on the straight path, away from danger. So pray for their protection, but also pray for their hearts to receive correction, whether from you or from the Lord directly.

Cover them with the blood of Jesus. Yes. That is not a magical phrase; it is a cry of faith, trusting that the sacrifice of Christ is their shield. The destroyer passes over where the blood has been applied. Speak that over them every day, not in fear, but in quiet confidence. Ask the Holy Spirit to be their constant companion, and then talk to them about what it means to listen to that still, small voice. When they were in your womb, they heard your voice. Now they need to learn to hear his.

You prayed for wisdom, faith, kindness, patience, love, gratitude, salvation, and “all that good stuff.” That is the Spirit’s work. And here’s a truth that may surprise you: you are part of the answer. When you receive your children, when you listen to them, when you forgive them, when you point them to Jesus, you are doing it to him. Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me. Ministry to these children is ministry to Christ himself. So don’t despise the small moments: the bedtime prayers that break away from rote phrases and become real talk with God, the conversations in the car, the discipline given with tears, the hugs that follow.

Hannah prayed for a child for years, and when God gave her Samuel, she gave him right back to the Lord. She literally brought him to the temple and left him there to serve. You have already done that in your heart. You’re saying, “Lord, these are yours. I hold them with open hands.” Keep that vow. Be persistent in prayer, even when answers delay, even when the years roll on and you feel stricken with years of waiting. The Lord who hears prayer has not forgotten. And as they grow, ask yourself: What am I training them to be? Successful? That’s fine, but a person can be a successful infidel. Train them to be children of the Highest, to go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways. That is a calling far greater than any worldly achievement.

Lastly, guard their faith. A child’s simple trust in Jesus is precious beyond words. The world will try to chip away at it, and twisted minds will try to destroy it. Stand in the gap. When your daughter wonders why she should dress differently, when your son pushes back on the boundaries, don’t just enforce rules. Point them again and again to the Jesus who holds them in his arms. He is the one who was set for the rising and falling of many, and a sword will pierce your own soul too at times. But that same child, born in Bethlehem, grew and waxed strong in spirit, and he will do the same work in them. The Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings.

Keep praying, keep loving, keep trusting. And when they stumble, remember that you are a child too, held by the same Father who never lets go.
