We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. Your desire for their protection, guidance, and well-being is a reflection of God’s own heart for His children. We pray with you, standing on the promises of Scripture, that the Lord would indeed watch over them, lead them in paths of righteousness, and draw them ever closer to Himself.

First, we must address the foundation of all our prayers, the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). Your prayer mentions "the Lord," but we must emphasize that salvation, protection, and transformation come through Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, who died for our sins and rose again. If your children do not yet know Him as their personal Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with them, how Jesus loves them, died for their sins, and offers eternal life to all who believe (Romans 10:9-10). Without Christ, there is no true salvation, no lasting wisdom, and no victory over sin. Let us pray that they would come to know Him, if they do not already, and that their lives would be built upon the rock of His truth (Matthew 7:24-25).

Now, let us lift up your daughter and son with boldness and faith:

For Protection and Guidance:
Father God, we thank You for the precious gift of these children. We ask that You would indeed watch over them day and night, shielding them from evil and bad influences. Your Word says, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). We claim this promise over them! Lord, guard their hearts and minds from the deception of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would hold their hands as they navigate life, leading them in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). May they see the light of Your truth and walk in it, turning away from darkness and sin.

For Their Choices and Influences:
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would break the power of alcohol and any other harmful influences in their lives. The Bible warns, "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals'" (1 Corinthians 15:33). Lord, surround them with godly friends and mentors who will encourage them in righteousness. Give them discernment to make wise choices, resisting peer pressure and the temptations of this world. May they flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22). We declare that they will not be mastered by anything (1 Corinthians 6:12), but will live as slaves to righteousness (Romans 6:18).

For Their Behavior, Attitudes, and Health:
Lord, we lift up their emotional and physical well-being. For your daughter, we pray that her acne and attitude would improve, not just for outward appearance, but so that she would find her worth in Christ, not in the opinions of others. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You (1 Peter 5:7) and to walk in confidence as Your beloved child. For your son, we pray for transformation in his behavior and communication. May he put away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech (Colossians 3:8) and instead speak with grace and truth (Ephesians 4:29). Father, soften their hearts and help them to honor you in all they do.

For Their Future:
We pray that they would grow into godly, responsible adults, men and women after Your own heart. May they do well in school, not just for worldly success, but to glorify You with their minds (1 Corinthians 10:31). Give them wisdom beyond their years (James 1:5), patience in trials, and strength to stand firm in their faith. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, godly spouses (if it is Your will), fulfilling careers, and ministries to serve You. May they bear much fruit for Your kingdom (John 15:5) and walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit every day of their lives.

For Their Salvation and Spiritual Growth:
Most importantly, Father, we pray for their salvation and spiritual maturity. If they do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself (John 6:44) and save them by Your grace. If they are already believers, deepen their faith and help them to grow in the knowledge of You (Colossians 1:10). Fill them with loving-kindness, gratitude, and strength to live for You. May the Holy Spirit always be with them, guiding, comforting, and empowering them to live holy lives. Let them know Your love and care in a personal way, and may they pass that love on to their own children one day.

We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, addiction, and deception that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy in their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We speak life, healing, and restoration over every area of their lives, spirit, soul, and body.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray all these things, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Encouragement and Guidance:
Parenting is one of the greatest callings, and challenges, God gives us. You are not alone in this journey! The Bible tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). This is both a promise and a command. Your role is not just to pray, but to actively disciple your children, teaching them God’s Word, modeling Christ-like behavior, and correcting them in love (Ephesians 6:4).

- Pray with them, not just for them. Let them hear you intercede on their behalf.
- Read the Bible together. Even simple devotions can plant seeds that grow into faith.
- Set godly boundaries. The world will tempt them, but your guidance can protect them (Proverbs 13:24).
- Encourage open communication. Let them know they can come to you (and to God) with their struggles.
- Trust God’s sovereignty. Even when they stray, God is still at work (Philippians 1:6).

Remember, your children’s ultimate destiny is in God’s hands, but He has chosen you to be His instrument in their lives. Keep pressing into Him, keep praying, and keep believing for their salvation and growth. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Jesus from the dead, and saved you is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20) in the lives of your children.

May the Lord bless you and strengthen you as you seek Him on their behalf!

We hear a parent’s loving heart in your words, that deep longing for your children to walk in safety, make wise choices, and know God’s care. It touches us, and we’re joining you in lifting them up.

The many things you named can feel heavy when you try to carry them alone. One thing that often helps is to take the biggest concern, the one that wakes you up at night, and simply release it to the Lord a few times a day, trusting that He sees each child fully and is already working. That steady rhythm of surrender can bring surprising peace as you watch for little changes over time.

For your daughter’s acne, sometimes a visit to a doctor or dermatologist offers practical help alongside our prayers; it’s one way of caring for the body God gave her. With attitudes and communication struggles, remember that change often comes gradually, not overnight. Even small signs of growth, a calmer response, a moment of openness, are worth celebrating.

You don’t need to get everything right. As you keep showing up with patience, forgiveness, and quiet faith, you’re giving your kids a living picture of God’s love. And that is never wasted.

Father, thank You that these children are known and held by You. We ask for Your hand of protection over the son and the daughter, shield them from what would harm them and guide their steps toward good. Help the son grow in healthy communication and self-control; calm whatever is unsettled inside him. Ease the daughter’s skin and her heart, bringing her toward peace and a gentle spirit. Give this parent wisdom, steadiness, and the gift of rest. May both children come to know deeply that they are loved by You and by their mom. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The prayer for your children rises from a heart that loves them deeply, and such love is a reflection of the Father's own. Yet the very first and most pressing need you mention is that they might know salvation. This is the one thing without which all else is of little eternal value. You ask for their protection, their guidance, their healing, their good behavior, all these are well and right to bring before the throne of grace. But take care that you do not place these earthly concerns before the weightier matter of their souls. What shall it profit a child to have clear skin and polished manners, if he passes into eternity without Christ? The Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed." This is the simple statement of the way of salvation, to believe on Christ, to trust in Him.

You plead for the Holy Spirit to be with them, and here you have struck the true ground. Salvation is of the Lord. It is His salvation, planned in infinite wisdom, purchased by precious blood, and applied by divine power. Do not imagine that your prayers or their outward reformation can produce what only God can give. The only salvation worth having, the salvation that is truly our own, is that which is God's. It draws us toward God, delivers from the power of sin, and makes us children instead of children of wrath. And this salvation is in a Person. Faith is not believing a doctrine merely, but believing on Him, on Christ Jesus. He is the salvation of God, and he that gets Him has complete salvation.

Look well to your own soul, and then plead with all diligence for your children. I see no reason to doubt that God, who heard the jailer at Philippi and saved his household, can do the same for you. Let the little ones be brought under the sound of the gospel. Let them hear again and again that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and that all who look unto Him are saved. This salvation is too great a treasure to keep to yourself; it is a common salvation, meant to be spread abroad. Go and make it common, beginning at your own hearth. Urge your son and daughter with all tenderness to lay hold on eternal life now.

Cast aside all thought of bringing any price or merit of their own. You must send them away from all reliance on good behavior or improved communication, for salvation is without money and without price. If they come with their hands full of self-reformation, they cannot have Christ. The command is, "Look unto Me, and be ye saved." A look costs nothing, is instantaneous, and brings present salvation. Oh, that they might look to Jesus this very hour! Then, and only then, are they truly safe. His honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep. Cease not your prayers until you can say with Simeon, "My eyes have seen Your salvation," as you see Christ formed in them.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out your heart for your children's bodily health, school success, and outward behavior, and you ask for their salvation. But I beg you, examine where your greatest concern lies. Do you not see that to plead so fervently for acne to clear and attitudes to improve, while mentioning salvation almost as an afterthought, is to build walls of straw around a plant? True health is virtue.

If you train them only to avoid every discomfort and to shine in the world's eyes, what will they do when the storms of life beat against them? Bring them up in the chastening and admonition of the Lord, not surrounded by soft outward defenses. Teach them to bear trials, to be meek, forgiving, and to consider this present life as nothing. That is the likeness of the King they must bear.

The afflictions you wish removed are often the very means by which the soul learns patience and dependence on God. Do not let the love of your children become a cloak for the soul's disease of grasping after ease. Many without children are just as feverish for wealth; many with them despise riches. So you must first master your own heart.

Then, by your example, lead your children to heavenly treasure. Pray for their salvation with as much urgency as you pray for their skin, and labor for the health of their souls. In the judgment, no number of untroubled school years will answer for you, but how you adorned their immortal image will. Become a true philosopher yourself, and you will teach them manliness, standing firm without needing a fence.
