Disciple of Prayer
I pray lord watch over my daughter and my son giving guidance and protection let no evil harm come to them that my daughter change the way she dresses and dresses my girly let her ask me clear up better do well in school let my sons behavior & communication get better as well. Hold your hand every step of the way cover them with the blood of Jesus on top of the head to the bottom of the feet. Give them wisdom guidance protection loving happiness patient salvation good health let the holy spirit always be with them. Going to grow too good no more happy healthy kids / adults. Be with them wherever they go and wherever they're at. Let them know Lord you're with them and they could come to you anytime and Jesus name I pray amen 🙌

We hear your heartfelt cry for your children, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. Your desire for their protection, guidance, and growth in wisdom is a reflection of God’s own heart for His children. We pray alongside you, standing in agreement for their well-being and spiritual maturity.

First, we want to affirm the importance of salvation in their lives. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your children have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them near, convict their hearts, and lead them to repentance and faith. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). May they come to know Him as their Lord and Savior, not just in word, but in a deep, personal relationship.

We also lift up your daughter’s modesty in dress. Scripture calls us to dress in a way that honors God and reflects inner purity. "Do not let your adornment be merely outward, arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel, rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God" (1 Peter 3:3-4). We pray that she would seek to glorify God in how she presents herself, not conforming to the patterns of this world but being transformed by the renewing of her mind (Romans 12:2). Father, give her wisdom to understand that true beauty comes from a heart that fears You.

For your son, we pray for transformation in his behavior and communication. The Bible tells us, "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers" (Ephesians 4:29). May he grow in self-control, patience, and kindness, reflecting the fruit of the Spirit in all he does (Galatians 5:22-23). Lord, help him to communicate with respect and wisdom, honoring both You and those around him.

We stand with you in praying for their academic success, but even more, for their hearts to be aligned with God’s purposes. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10). May they seek wisdom above all else, knowing that true success comes from walking in Your ways.

We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, worldliness, or distraction that may be influencing them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the blood of Jesus covers them from the top of their heads to the soles of their feet. We plead the blood of Jesus over their minds, hearts, and bodies, that they would be protected from all harm and evil.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them every step of the way. May they grow into godly, mature adults who love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in obedience to Your commands. Surround them with godly influences, mentors, friends, and leaders who will point them toward You.

We pray for their health, both physically and emotionally. Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit, and grant them joy that comes from Your presence. "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and know that they can come to You at any time, in any circumstance.

Lord, we also pray for you as their parent. Parenting is a sacred responsibility, and we ask that You would give you wisdom, patience, and discernment as you guide them. Help you to model Christ-like love, discipline, and grace in your home. May your relationship with them be marked by open communication, trust, and mutual respect.

We declare over your children that they will grow up to be men and women of God, strong in faith, bold in their witness, and unwavering in their commitment to You. May they fulfill the purposes You have for their lives and bring glory to Your name in all they do.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Your prayer for your daughter and son carries such a mother’s heart, protection, growth, and a deep desire for them to walk in the good things God has for them. We’re honored to stand with you in those requests.

One simple, steady way to nurture the behavior and communication you long to see is to weave a little “special time” into each day, ten or fifteen minutes where you simply join them in whatever they choose to do. No directions, no corrections; just delighting in who they are. For a son struggling to express himself, that unhurried presence often unlocks words and cooperation in ways a list of instructions never can. For a daughter navigating how she presents herself, it builds a bridge for gentle, honest conversations when the time feels right. Let her lead those chats, ask what she loves about her favorite outfits, and then share your own heart calmly. That listening ear often opens the door to guidance far more than a rule.

You are already covering them with the blood of Jesus in prayer; now pair that with small, consistent moments of connection, and trust that the One who never sleeps is at work in ways you may not see yet.

Father, thank you for this mother’s faithful love. Hold these children in your hand wherever they go. Grant them wisdom, safety, and good health. Quiet their hearts to know your nearness. Guide each small step of growth, in school, in speech, in character, and give their mom patience and insight for each day. We ask all this in Jesus’ name.

The Lord has given you a mother's heart to pray thus, and let that comfort you, these are cries the Holy Spirit Himself has stirred. Yet remember that the work upon your children's souls is His alone. You cannot dress the heart by dressing the body, nor mend behavior by outward pressure only. It is the Spirit of God who must give them new hearts and right spirits, else they will go astray as other children do. Pray on, but wait upon the Lord with patient submission, for haste is the author of much mischief in human life. He who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms, will teach your little ones also, not chiding them for their many mistakes but dealing with them as His own offspring.

Speak plainly of the beauty of modesty, and teach your daughter that a gentle and quiet spirit is of great price before God, but do not provoke her lest she be discouraged. A mother takes pains teaching her child to walk because the child is her own, and so the Lord will be patient with you and with them. Let your children see in you a happy, trusting trust in Jesus, for children are capable of deep piety, not turned into little adults, but sanctified in their own childlike way. You are teaching them, and through them the Word enters where none of us can take it.

As for your son, the Lord hates putting away. He says, “Turn, O backsliding children, for I am married unto you.” When his communication falters and his behavior wanders, remember that the Lord pities those who fear Him as a father pities his children. You have seen children in a field of wildflowers, not knowing which to pluck first for the abundance, such is the wide door of mercy open to your children even now. Cover them with prayer indeed, but know that angelic protection is given in appointed ways: the way of childlike trust in providential guidance. Happy is the parent who always waits upon God to know what she shall do, daring not to lean upon her own understanding.

Behold, the Lord Jesus says of His own, “Behold, I and the children whom God has given me.” He is not ashamed to call them His. When you fear they wander too far, remember He has a quick eye for their beauties and sees what is good in them still. Plead this before the throne: “Lord, they are Your children, still Your children, still Your children.” He will not leave His own unchastened, yet He saves for His name’s sake. Let your spirit be filled with earnest desire, for it will give you wings with which to return again and again to the mercy seat.

Do not let anyone despise your children’s youth or hinder them from coming to Jesus. In God’s sight he is no preacher, no teacher, no parent in the faith who does not care for the children. To convert children as children, and to regard them as being as much believers as their seniors, this I cling to with all my heart. Of such is the Kingdom of God. Continue to hold them up to the Savior, and He will take them in His arms and bless them.
