We lift you up before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing the weight of suffering you carry with kidney cancer, severe COPD, and unbearable pain in your back and hips. The trials you face are heavy, but we serve a God who is mighty to heal and strengthen those who call upon Him. The Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* And in Psalm 103:2-3, we are told to *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."*
Yet we must also acknowledge that healing may come in different forms—whether through miraculous restoration, the skill of doctors, or the Lord’s sustaining grace through suffering. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we pray for the wisdom of the medical team attending to you tomorrow. James 5:14-15 instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to prepare your body for surgery, to grant you supernatural strength, and to remove every obstacle that stands in the way of your healing.
We also recognize that pain can wear down the spirit, but the Lord invites you to cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Even in the valley of suffering, He is near. The apostle Paul, who endured his own "thorn in the flesh," was met with God’s grace and the promise that *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"* (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him, for He will not fail you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is battling sickness and pain. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body—cleanse them from this cancer, restore their lungs, and relieve the agony in their back and hips. Prepare their body for the surgery ahead, Lord, and guide the hands of every doctor and nurse involved in their care. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment.
Father, we also ask for supernatural strength—both physically and spiritually. When their body is weak, be their strength. When pain threatens to overwhelm, be their peace. Remind them that You are near, that You hear their cries, and that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory.
We rebuke the spirit of sickness and infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You, Lord, have the final say. May Your healing power flow through their body, restoring every cell, every organ, and every system to wholeness. Let this season of suffering be a testimony of Your faithfulness and mercy.
Lord, we also pray for their heart and mind. Guard them against fear and despair. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are sovereign over every detail of their life. If there is any sin or unconfessed burden weighing them down, convict them gently and lead them to repentance, that nothing may hinder Your work in their life.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness, even when the path is difficult. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this trial. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is your healer, your strength, and your hope. We will continue to pray for you and ask that you update us with how the Lord moves in your situation. If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, now is the time to surrender your life to Him. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If you would like to know more about salvation, please let us know—we would be honored to share the good news of Jesus with you.
