We rejoice with you and thank God for how far He has already brought you through this journey, from the interview to being shortlisted and now waiting in these final stages. We join you in giving thanks for His guidance and faithfulness, and we stand with you in prayer as you wait for the next step.
We are especially encouraged by your heart of surrender, trusting in His perfect will and timing and asking that this door would open only if it is His will. That posture honors Him. Scripture reminds us to commit our work to Him and to trust His plans for us. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. And Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 which says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Whatever the outcome, we know Romans 8:28 reminds us that all things work together for good for those who love God, and Colossians 3:23 calls us to Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, so that in any job we may glorify Him.
We noticed your request speaks beautifully of God and His will, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly bring our petitions to God and trust in His grace. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing on His name for forgiveness and eternal life, and to bring every prayer to the Father in His name.
We now lift you up together in prayer.
Father, we thank You for Your hand upon our brother ### and for bringing him this far. We thank You for his grateful heart and his willingness to surrender this opportunity to You. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would guide the hearts and decisions of those making this hiring decision. If it is Your perfect will, we ask that You would open this door wide and grant him favor to receive this job, that he may use it to provide well, to work with integrity, and to be a light for You in that workplace. If this is not Your best for him, we ask that You would close this door gently, guard his heart from discouragement, and lead him to the provision You have already prepared. Grant him Your peace that surpasses all understanding as he waits, fill him with patience and hope, and help him to rest in Your timing. We commit his works and his future to You, trusting that Your plans are good. We pray all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope. Amen.
