It seems only You can do this for You who begin a good work ultimately bring it to completion, Phil 1:6, You perfect that which concerns us, Ps 138:8, perhaps we do not have because we do not ask, James 4:2? May it not be said on that day that we did not ask for the holiness without which no one will see You, Lord, Heb 12:14. Jesus clearly taught, "Blessed are the pure in heart , for THEY shall see God, Matt 5:8, when we come out of their midst and are separate, 2 Cor 6:17-18, perfect holiness in the fear of The Lord, 2 Cor 7:1, You are ready to punish all disobedience once our obedience is complete, 2 Cor 10:6.

Protect us from the dragon's false doctrine and persecution spewing across the world, Rev 12:15. Help restrain these evils, 2 Thes 2:7, and use godly government to restrain and punish evil, 1 Tim 2:1-4; Rev 12:16, Rom 13:1-7. We pray for grace to stay on the alert, Mk 13:33, for strength to escape all that's coming and stand before The Son of Man, Luke 21:36.

We ask antichrist be revealed, slain and annihilated, 2 Thes 2:8, that the saints are guarded from buying into his system, Rev 13:6, and that he, the false prophet and devil be fully and finally sentenced forever, Rev 20:10. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the light and truth You have sent to lead us, Father. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us through every step of our journey toward Your holy hill. We thank You for the gift of faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all sin, and for the healing power of His stripes that make us whole. Truly, it is by Your grace alone that we stand, and we praise You for the work You have begun in us, knowing You will bring it to completion.

We lift up this earnest plea for protection from deception, Lord, for the days are evil, and the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The world is filled with lies, false teachings, and seductive spirits that seek to lead Your people astray. We ask that You guard our hearts and minds with the belt of truth, Your holy Word, which is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. Sanctify us in Your truth, for Your Word is truth, and let it wash over us daily, purifying our thoughts, motives, and actions. Keep us from the snares of false believers, deceivers, and the cunning craftiness of those who would distort the gospel for their own gain. May we test every spirit, holding fast to what is good and rejecting every form of evil.

Father, we recognize that deception often begins with greed, the love of money and the desire for more. We ask that You grant us contentment in You alone, for You have said that godliness with contentment is great gain. Let us not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present our requests to You, so that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, may guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help us to walk in the light as You are in the light, having fellowship with one another, and may the blood of Jesus Your Son cleanse us from all sin.

We pray for Your Bride, the Church, that she would make herself ready, clothed in fine linen, bright and clean, the righteous acts of the saints. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not faint. Strengthen us to persevere, to watch and pray, so that we may escape all that is coming upon the world and stand before the Son of Man. We ask that You restrain the evil one and his schemes, using godly government and authorities to punish wrongdoing and uphold justice. May the fear of the Lord fill our hearts, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and wisdom leads many to righteousness.

Lord, we plead with You to reveal and defeat the spirit of antichrist, that he may be slain and annihilated, and that none of Your saints would be deceived by his system. We pray for the final judgment of Satan, the false prophet, and all who follow them, that they would be cast into the lake of fire forever. Until that day, equip us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, winning souls for Your kingdom and leading many to righteousness. Let us be faithful witnesses, instructing others in Your ways and making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that You have commanded.

We ask all these things not only for ourselves but for our families, friends, church-mates, pastors, and all who call upon Your name in truth. May we encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "today," so that none of us may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, but spurring one another on toward holiness. May our fellowship be sweet and our unity strong, as we walk in the light, having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead exposing them.

Father, we long for the day when our whole body will be full of light, with no dark part in it. Search our hearts and try our thoughts, and lead us in the way everlasting. Let there be no hidden sin or deception in us, but may we walk in transparency and truth, reflecting the light of Christ in all we do. We pray that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, would guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that every promise You have made would be "Yes" and "Amen" in Him.

We offer this prayer with thanksgiving, trusting in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have started in us. May we be found blameless on that day, holy and without blemish, as we await the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His mighty and precious name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We can sense how deeply you long for truth to hold sway, in your own heart, in your family, and in the wider Body of Christ. That longing is not just human worry; it is a mark of the Spirit’s work, a quiet testimony that God has already begun a good work in you and will be faithful to complete it.

When the weight of deception and darkness feels heavy, we often need to come back to what is steady and simple. It is not our frantic watchfulness that keeps us safe, but staying close to Jesus through the ordinary, humble means He has given. Daily time in Scripture, honest prayer, and the company of other believers who can speak the truth in love are not mere duties, they are anchors. They keep our minds from drifting and our hearts from being isolated, which is where the enemy does his most effective work.

We hear in your words a real love for the church and a desire to see her walk in light. That itself is a gift. You are not alone in this. As you continue to pray, and we pray with you now, remember that the same God who has you asking for holiness and protection is the One who holds you securely.

Father, thank You for this one who seeks Your truth and yearns for a pure heart. Quiet their fears, and surround them with Your peace that guards the mind. Keep them and those they love from every false way, and root them deeply in Your Word. Shine Your light so clearly that they know, not just in their head but in their bones, that You are with them and that the victory is already Yours. In Jesus’ name we ask, Amen.

The truth alone will not sanctify a man, yet God works sanctification in us by the truth, and by nothing else. Mark this well, for the plea rises here that you be guarded by the Word, by prayer, and by preaching. Holiness is not a thing to follow as a distant hope, but a present, practical, personal, active, vital holiness, for without this no one shall see the Lord. It does not say perfection of holiness, but holiness, holiness that deals with the thoughts and intents, the purposes, the aims, the objectives, the motives of men.

You have asked to be kept from deception, and this is a wise request indeed. Falsehood leads to sin, truth leads to holiness. Buy the truth, and sell it not. When you come to the Bible, do not pick and choose. Do not try to believe half of it and leave out the other half. Let the water of the Word wash you, for it is the element in which we are made to live in order to holiness. The sweetmeat which tempted me to Christ was this: I believed that salvation was an insurance of character.

The Father joins in the verdict of His Son that it is finished, all the will of God for the sanctification of His people is accomplished. Yet this work must be applied to us by the Holy Spirit. He it is who makes holiness to be not a cleaning of the outside of the cup and platter, but having a clean inside. Morality is a dead body washed and laid in clean white linen; holiness is the living form in perfect purity.

You cry out for perseverance, that you not enter into temptation nor fall before the deceiver. Hear this: the perseverance of the saints is perseverance in holiness. They shall not depart from me. If the grace of God has really changed you, you are radically and lastingly changed. This fear of God is maintained in us by the belief of revealed truth, and meditation thereon. Study the doctrines of grace, and be instructed in the analogy of the faith. Know the gospel well and thoroughly, and this will bring fuel to the fire of the fear of God in your hearts.

And what of the antichrist, the false doctrine, and the lying spirit that would sweep away the simple? Buy all the truth. Let all go as long as you may, but have truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, truth in the life. It is decision for Christ and His truth that has the greatest power. The way to peace is the way of holiness. Cast out sin and you cast out contention. Subdue iniquity and peace wins the victory. May the God of Peace make you holy, for He Himself is peace and holiness.

You need the truth of God, and you will never be received by God at last unless you bring the truth in your right hand. This truth ought to strengthen your faith, banish your fear of man, and ensure your submission to the will of God. He who has begun a good work will bring it to completion. He perfects that which concerns you. Pray then with this argument: sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Asking for protection from deception, for holiness, for purity of heart, this is the very cry of the soul that has begun to see what truly matters. You quote well, that without holiness no one shall see the Lord. But what is this holiness? Purity. Not the washing of the body, not the outward show, but the cleansing of the inner man. For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts. To be pure of these is holiness. Every sin is uncleanness, and every virtue is purity. You ask to be kept from the evil one, to not enter into temptation. And yet many ask for this while neglecting the battlefield within. What you request is not a light thing, nor is it a gift that falls upon the idle.

You long for the water of the Word to wash you, and rightly so, for from Baptism we are created in righteousness and holiness of truth. But this truth must be worked out, not merely spoken. The apostle boasts in the sincerity of his converts, that their lives testified to a pure conscience, having no deceit, no hypocrisy, no guile. This is the fruit of holiness, and where there is holiness, there is all confidence. The end of a deceived life is shame and death, but the end of holiness is everlasting life. So then, let your request be matched by your earnest endeavor. Do not simply ask to be protected from deception while feeding on the inferior dishes of the world, unable to wait for the royal banquet. The dragon spews his lies, yes, but the one whose hand is on the plough and whose eye is fixed on the true Holy Place, the very Blood of Christ carried into Heaven, that one will not be carried away by every wind.

You fear the antichrist and the system of deception, and well you should, for many deceivers have gone out. But the greatest safeguard against the lie is love and peace among the brethren. By this shall all men know that you are His disciples, if you love one another. A heart filled with envy, unbelief, or malice is already a lodging for the deceiver, even if the tongue speaks pious prayers. So pursue peace with all men, and that holiness of which I spoke. Serve the incorporeal God not with outward forms, but with the soul and purity of mind. This is worship in spirit and in truth. He who stablisheth us is God, but we must run that we may obtain. Ask, yes, but also so run, putting to death the earthly members, crucifying the evil thoughts, so that when the Son of Man comes, you may be found not in word only, but in the power of a life made pure, fit to stand before Him.

What you have asked for hinges on a single, vital necessity: a love for the truth. Your prayer rightly pleads for protection from deception, and that protection is found not in a bare knowledge of facts but in a deep, abiding affection for what is true. When a heart turns from God, it loses all discernment. The Scriptures teach that those who did not receive the love of the truth are given over to a strong delusion, to believe what is false. The safeguard against every counterfeit, against the lies of the evil one and the false prophets who mix truth with deadly error, is to know the genuine so intimately that anything spurious immediately feels wrong.

This love for the truth must be more than consent. Many people believe the truth, agreeing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, yet their lives remain unchanged. A house built only on agreement with the truth will collapse in the storm. The truth must be obeyed. It is the doing of the word, the walking in it day by day, that anchors the soul. There is no greater joy than to see this happening, to know that believers are not swaying from the commandment received from the beginning, but are continuing as fellow helpers in the truth, loving one another in deed.

The prayer you have offered is a prayer to be kept by the truth itself. You have asked to be washed by the water of the Word, and that is exactly how sanctification happens. The Word is truth. When it is received not as the word of men but as it is in truth, the word of God, it works effectively in those who believe. It guards the heart against the flattery and guile of deceivers who speak what itching ears want to hear. Telling the truth can be painful and may even make one an enemy to the comfortable, but it is the only path to being presented complete before the Son of Man. Keep asking for a greater faith, a greater knowledge, and for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to your heart, so that your whole body may be full of light, with no dark part in it.
