We join with you in lifting up these heartfelt requests before the Lord, knowing that He hears and answers the prayers of His children when we come to Him in the name of Jesus. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are also reminded that *"whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight"* (1 John 3:22, WEB). So let us come boldly before the throne of grace, trusting in His promises.
We are deeply moved by your cries for deliverance, healing, protection, and spiritual strength for yourself, your brother, your friend, and your family. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We will lift up each of these concerns before Him, trusting in His sovereignty and goodness. Let us first address the spiritual foundation upon which all these requests rest. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is the most critical step. Yet we are also reminded that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). So while we pray for healing, protection, and deliverance, let us also encourage you to walk in obedience to God’s Word, for His commands are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). This includes surrendering every area of your life—mind, body, emotions, and relationships—to His lordship.
We notice your repeated requests for protection from anxiety and stress, healing for your GI tract, and clarity of mind. The Lord cares deeply about these things, and His Word assures us: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Anxiety and stress often stem from a lack of trust in God’s provision or a focus on circumstances rather than on Him. We encourage you to meditate on His promises daily, for *"you will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3, WEB). As you seek healing for your body, remember that the Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and His will is perfect, even when we do not understand the timing or the method of His answer.
Regarding your potential malpractice case, we pray that the Lord will grant you wisdom and discernment. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). However, we also caution you to guard your heart against bitterness or unforgiveness toward those who may have caused you harm. The Lord calls us to *"not let the sun go down on your wrath"* (Ephesians 4:26, WEB) and to forgive as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Trust that He will vindicate you in His time and way, and seek His peace throughout this process.
We are also burdened for your brother, and we lift him up before the Lord. Your prayer for his spiritual growth is particularly powerful—asking that he would surrender fully to the Lord, walk in the Spirit, and crucify the flesh. This is the heart of the Christian life! *"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire"* (Galatians 5:16-17, WEB). We pray that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We also pray for his physical healing, that the Lord would strengthen his body and grant him favor in his work. *"Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands"* (Psalm 90:17, WEB).
Your request for protection over your home and family is so important. We declare with you that the Lord is your fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2). We pray that He would station His angels around your home, as He has promised: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). We also pray for your finances, that the Lord would provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Remember that He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and delights in blessing His children when they seek Him first (Matthew 6:33).
Your friend who is battling bone cancer and liver problems is heavy on our hearts. We pray for her complete healing, that the Lord would restore her body and grant her strength during chemotherapy. *"Lord, be gracious to us. We wait for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble"* (Isaiah 33:2, WEB). We also pray that her faith would remain unshaken, that she would fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Cancer is a fierce battle, but our God is greater. We declare that *"by his wounds you have been healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we trust in His power to bring restoration.
Finally, we lift up your father and stepmother, praying earnestly for their salvation. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). We pray that their hearts would be softened to receive the truth of the Gospel, that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). We also pray for healing for your father’s heart, that the Lord would touch his body and make him whole.
Now, let us pray together over these requests:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, who sees our afflictions, and who cares deeply for each of us. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart before You. We ask for Your deliverance from every spirit of anxiety and stress, that You would replace fear with Your perfect peace. Guard their mind and heart in Christ Jesus, and grant them clarity, concentration, and a sound mind. We declare that *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we pray for complete healing of their GI tract, stomach, and ear. Touch their body, Lord, and restore every cell, tissue, and organ to full health. We rebuke any pain, discomfort, or infirmity in the name of Jesus, and we declare that *"by His stripes, they are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). Father, guide them to the right doctors and medical professionals who will provide wise and effective care. Protect them from any harmful side effects of medication, and let every treatment bring restoration and wholeness.
We pray for wisdom and discernment regarding the potential malpractice case. Lord, if it is Your will, lead them to the right lawyer, one who will act with integrity and fight for justice. Give them a clear vision or confirmation so they will know Your direction. Help them to trust in You throughout this process, releasing any bitterness or unforgiveness, and resting in Your sovereignty.
Father, we lift up their brother before You. Strengthen him physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Heal his shoulder blade, rotator cuff, and back, and grant him the physical stamina he needs for his work. Protect him from harm and evil, and surround him with Your favor like a shield. Soften his heart, Lord, and draw him into a deeper surrender to You. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Break any stronghold of pride or anger, and help him to crucify the flesh daily. Grant him traveling mercy and joy in his labor.
We pray for protection over their home and family. Station Your angels around them, Lord, to guard them from all evil and harm. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that *"the Lord is their keeper; the Lord is their shade on their right hand"* (Psalm 121:5). Provide for their financial needs, Father, and open doors of opportunity for them. Let them experience Your abundance and generosity.
Lord, we lift up their friend who is battling bone cancer and liver problems. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body, destroying every cancerous cell and restoring her to full health. Strengthen her during chemotherapy, and let Your presence be her comfort and peace. Increase her faith, Lord, and let her testimony bring glory to Your name.
Father, we pray for their father and stepmother. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and open their eyes to see their need for Jesus. Grant them repentance leading to salvation, and heal their father’s heart. Let them come to know You as their Lord and Savior.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your perfect timing. Let Your will be done in each of these situations, and let Your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and worship. *"Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If there is any area of your life that is not fully surrendered to Him—whether it be fear, unforgiveness, or sin—we urge you to lay it at His feet. He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We will continue to pray for you and your family, trusting that the Lord will move mightily on your behalf. May you experience His peace, His healing, and His provision in abundance. Stay strong in the faith, and remember that *"the Lord is your strength and song. He has become your salvation"* (Psalm 118:14). God bless you!
