You forgive your enemies you forgive your sins and God is supposed to repay and nothing I have prayed for the same prayers for so many years and nothing no answer no nothing nothing ever gets any better it's always crap so explain to me and pray for our family I am a father raising two teenage daughters and a stroke in 2014 but yet God's supposed to help us get better we don't even have transportation it's got so much worse it ain't even funny so what's the point of praying when nothing ever gets done nothing ever gets answered and isn't love and action word God loves us so much then where's the action Godind it I'm frustrated and done I'm about ready to wash my hands with Jesus Christ

We hear the deep weariness and frustration in your heart and we have taken your burden before the Lord together. You have been carrying so much as a father raising two teenage daughters while still living with the effects of a stroke from ###, and now without transportation and with prayers that feel unanswered for years, it is understandable that you feel forgotten and ready to give up. We want you to know that God has not forgotten you and He hears every prayer even when the answer has not yet come as you hoped.

We want to gently correct a thought that has added to your pain. When you said you forgive your enemies and forgive your sins and God is supposed to repay, we understand the longing for justice and relief, but forgiveness is not a transaction to make God owe us something. We forgive because Christ first forgave us and because we are commanded to forgive, not to earn a repayment. God does see and He does reward faithfulness, but His answers come according to His perfect will and timing, not as a payment for what we have done. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts as it says in Isaiah 55:8-9. And when we feel that love should be an action word and ask where is God's action, Scripture reminds us that God has already acted in the greatest way possible when He gave His own Son for us. God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8 and For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. That action on the cross is the foundation of every other promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us Hebrews 13:5.

The point of praying is not to convince a reluctant God to finally act, but to remain in relationship with the Father who already loves you and who invites you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We are told to pray without ceasing and not lose heart Luke 18:1, and that we should be steadfast in prayer Romans 12:12. Sometimes His answer is yes, sometimes wait, and sometimes He answers in a way we did not expect, working all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28 even when we cannot see it yet. We know how hard waiting is, but we are exhorted Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9 and Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord Psalm 27:14.

We also hear your words about being ready to wash your hands with Jesus Christ and we must lovingly rebuke that thought because turning away from Jesus is turning away from the only source of hope, forgiveness, and eternal life. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you walk away from Him there is no other place to go for help, healing, or provision. He is not angry at your honesty, for The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and He invites you Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. His grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9, and He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29.

Together we bring you and your daughters before the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we lift up this father and his two teenage daughters to You. You see his exhaustion, his stroke and the weakness that remains, the lack of transportation, the financial pressure, and the years of prayers that feel unanswered. Lord, we ask You to show Yourself strong on his behalf. Strengthen his body and continue Your healing work, renew his strength so he will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint Isaiah 40:31. Provide for his daily needs according to Your riches, for You have promised My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Open doors for reliable transportation, for godly help and community around this family, and guard his daughters in their teenage years, keep them pure, safe, and walking with You. Above all, restore hope to this father's heart, help him to feel Your presence, to know that You collect his tears and hear his cries, and to not give up waiting on You. Help him to forgive as You have forgiven him, not to earn anything but out of obedience and freedom, and help him to keep praying and trusting even when he cannot see the answer yet. Keep his feet from turning away from Jesus, for apart from Him we have no hope. Let him experience Your steadfast love that never ceases and Your mercies that are new every morning Lamentations 3:22-23. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you not to walk alone in this. Please stay in the Word daily, even a few verses, pour out your heart honestly as the psalmists did, and stay connected to a local Bible believing church where others can see your need for transportation and practical help and bear your burden with you Galatians 6:2. Keep praying, keep seeking, keep knocking, for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened Matthew 7:8. God has not finished writing your story or your daughters story. We are standing with you and we will continue to pray that you will see His action and provision in the days ahead and that your faith will be renewed.

We hear how worn down you are, and how heavy this has felt for so long. Raising two teenage daughters on your own after a stroke, without reliable transportation, and carrying the same prayers for years without seeing change would leave anyone frustrated and asking where God is. It makes sense you are asking hard, honest questions right now.

We don't have a simple explanation for why answers have been so slow to come, and we won't pretend that praying harder always brings quick relief. What we have seen is that long seasons of limitation can wear on a person's sense of strength and hope, and make it feel like even small progress doesn't count. God is not put off by that kind of honesty. Bringing Him your frustration as it is, not as you think it should sound, is still prayer.

One step that has helped others in a long hard stretch is to let one trusted person in on both the practical and the spiritual weight. If you have a pastor, a deacon, or a steady friend at church, would you consider telling them plainly about the transportation need and about feeling ready to walk away from faith? You don't have to solve everything at once, just give one person a chance to walk with you and help look for local resources. If ongoing effects from the stroke are still making daily life harder, staying connected to your doctor alongside prayer is also a good support.

Father, we lift this dad and his daughters to You. You see how tired he is and how much he loves his family. Give him rest, wisdom for each day with his girls, and people nearby who will show up with real help. Keep him close to You even in his doubts and remind him he is not forgotten. In Jesus' name, amen.

Praying for you as I am with you in your frustration. Please know that I understand the way you feel; the endless prayers that are only met with silence….Yet, I am praying for you and will continue to do so; may God grant you blessings of peace and comfort. Lord, please bring our friend relief to his situation along with provided transportation, all in the name of Jesus.

Your words have come up before the Lord as an honest cry from a weary heart, and I thank you for speaking plainly rather than hiding your grief. To be a father to two teenage daughters, to bear the weakness that has lingered since your stroke in ###, to feel the daily burden of having no transportation and to pray the same prayers for years and seem to receive no answer, this is a heavy trial indeed. It is no small thing, and the Lord knows the weight you carry both in body and in spirit.

Do not let the tempter whisper to you that prayer is all a fancy and that you should draw no more near to God. I pray you, spurn that thought with all your might and still cry, both in the daytime and at night, for the Lord will still hear your prayer. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. Unanswered petitions are not unheard. God keeps a file for our prayers. They are not blown away by the wind, they are treasured in the King's archives. There is a registry in the court of Heaven where every prayer is recorded. O tried believer, your sighs and your tears are not fruitless.

You say you have forgiven your enemies and forgiven sins, and you look for God to repay, and nothing seems to come. Hear this, forgiveness is obedience to Christ who forgave us when we had no merit, not a bargain by which we make God our debtor. He does not repay as a master pays wages, He blesses as a Father shows mercy. If you do not prevail with God in prayer, hear what He seems to say, Search and look. Search yourself and breathe the prayer, Search me, O God, and try me, and know my ways, and see if there is any evil way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. This is not to condemn you, but to draw you nearer, that nothing may stand between your soul and His mercy.

And know this also, He is strengthening your muscles and tendons, sinews and power by the arduous exercise of unanswered prayer that you may be finely useful in the future. The Canaanite woman cried and for a while the Lord answered her not a word, yet her perseverance was the very pathway to His commendation, O woman, great is thy faith. You must not sit down in despair because no promise has come home to your soul. Still continue to cry unto the Lord. Still be constantly in prayer to Him. He will, He must hear you, by and by, and you shall have your heart's desire in His time and wisdom.

You ask, where is the action if love is an action word. Look first to the cross, where God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. That is action never to be questioned. And look back upon the hill top of your present experience and see how many feeble prayers have already been nursed and nurtured and fostered and accepted, and have come back as full grown blessings bearing mercy in both its hands. How often you have awaked and found your house and family kept secure, though the evening prayer seemed poor. How often He has given journeying mercies and kept you in the midst of danger. These are not small things, though sorrow now makes them seem dim.

Therefore set your face unto the Lord God to seek by prayer and supplication. That setting of the face is expressive of resolute purpose, firm determination, undivided attention and fixed resolute perseverance. Order your cause before Him and fill your mouth with arguments, not fine language but the promises of His word. Plead His covenant which stands not in your strength but in Him who abideth forever in His Melchizedek priesthood, and in the power of an endless life. He stands in absolute perfectness under every strain, and therefore the covenant stands in Him. He does not deal with His people as if they were blocks of wood or iron cast into a mold. He deals with you as a living soul, and He would have you live near to Him, abide in Him, be much in private prayer, for that stirs up the fire and makes it burn more brilliantly.

Prayer is the rope which hangs down on earth, and there is a bell in Heaven which it rings and which God hears. Pull that rope again tonight, praying father. Make the great bell in Heaven ring again and again, and let its notes be, Save my children, keep my daughters, provide for this household. He who holds you holds you with a double encircling, Christ's pierced hand clasped within the Father's hand, so that you shall not be plucked away.

To wash your hands with Jesus Christ would be to step into that place described as having no hope, and without God in the world. Do not turn from the only fountain of life when your thirst is greatest. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, you righteous, and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart, not because the burden is light today, but because He who hears prayer has not forgotten you.

I will pray for you and your family now as you have asked, and I urge you to let a faithful pastor or godly brother near you know of this struggle, that they may stand with you in person and help bear the burden.

O Lord God, hear this father who cries in weariness. Thou hast seen his long prayers, his tears, his stroke and weakness, his labor for his two daughters, his lack of provision for even transportation. Have mercy upon this household. Forgive his sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, who alone is salvation, and teach him to forgive as he has been forgiven, not to earn favor but because favor has been given. Strengthen his body as Thou seest fit, guard his daughters in their youth, keep them from evil and draw them to Thyself, provide for this family daily bread and such means as Thou knowest they need, and above all give this father a renewed spirit of perseverance, that he may not faint in prayer but continue until Thou answerest in Thy perfect wisdom. Keep him from turning away, and hold him fast in Thy covenant. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
