Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning a guarded heart and a guarded mouth.
We have been praying with you that the Lord would search our hearts and cleanse us from the secret joy of seeing others fail, and that He would keep our mouths from speaking malice, gossip or curses against those who oppose us. We stood with you on Job 31:29 and asked God to give us grace to choose compassion over celebration when trouble strikes our enemies, and to soften our hearts to pray for their healing, repentance and well being instead of holding bitterness. We have asked the Lord to set a guard over our mouths as Psalm 141:3 teaches and to let no unwholesome talk come from our mouths but only what is helpful according to Eph 4:29, and to help us love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us as Matt 5:44 commands.
