We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and the precious children He has placed in your care. Father, we know that every child is a gift from You, fearfully and wonderfully made, and You have a perfect plan for each of their lives. The Bible tells us in Psalm 68:5-6, "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families." Lord, You are the ultimate Father, and we ask that You defend these children and set them firmly in this family according to Your will.
We pray for your upcoming court date, that You would go before the judges, lawyers, and all those involved in this decision. Let Your wisdom and justice prevail, and may the hearts of those in authority be softened to see the love, stability, and permanency that this family provides. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that You turn their hearts toward what is best for these children, which is to remain in the loving home You have provided through this family.
Father, we also pray for strength and peace for this family as they wait. The uncertainty and prolonged process can be overwhelming, but we know that You are a God who hears the cries of Your people. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Uphold them, Lord, and remind them daily that You are in control.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to creep into their hearts. The enemy would love nothing more than to see this family divided, but we stand on Your promise in Romans 8:31, "What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" We declare that God is for this family, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Lord, we also lift up the birth parents of these children. We pray for their healing, restoration, and redemption. If it is Your will for them to have a role in these children’s lives, we ask that You guide those decisions with grace and wisdom. However, we trust that You have placed these children in this home for a reason, and we ask that You bring this process to a swift and favorable conclusion if it aligns with Your perfect plan.
Finally, we pray for the unity and strength of this family. May they continue to lean on You and one another, growing in love, patience, and faith. May these children, both born into and fostered by this family, know the depth of Your love and the security of a home built on Your foundation. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to bring hope, healing, and eternal security to all who believe in Him. Amen.
