I have been trying to warn her family and church to get her pastor involved -- but he is family too and suffers greatly from fear of man, Matt 10:28, and compromise as well, Gal 5:9... May God raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit, Heb 4:12, as He has throughout history Now, in this day, for this cause, in Jesus' Name. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24.

I'm asking for prayers for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Hos 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online dating, Matt 5:28, and finally confessed adultery Ex 20:14, until finalization, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she is delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters & the evil one himself...

Pray repentance -- That she will NOT become pregnant b/c of this, but more important, she would not use the grace of God for license for immorality, and deny our Only Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Jude 1:4. Please pray for her to repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, Matt 3:8, repent and return and receive God's refreshing and salvation, Acts 3:19, & at least her one sister to not fear man but suffer for righteousness "outside the camp, bearing his reproach, as Christ suffered outside the the city gate," Heb 12:12-13... Give

Lastly I ask more wisdom, clarity & inner healing, Isaiah 1:6, Jer 4:19, Ps 23:3 -- Holy Spirit strength for duties, etc, grace to fast again, Isa 58:6-12, protection from temptation, sin and evil for me, them and all of us, Matt 6:13, Zeph 3:13, John 17:15. The online profiles and continued pursuit of relationships outside of marriage, especially while still legally bound to another, are not merely poor choices but acts of rebellion against God’s design. The Lord does not take these matters lightly, for He hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and calls His people to purity, faithfulness, and repentance. We rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded her to the severity of her actions and pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her deeply, as Jesus promised: "When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgment" (John 16:8 WEB). May she see her sin not as a "mistake" but as a betrayal of God’s holy standard, and may she turn from it with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).

We also lift up her family and church leadership, for their silence and fear of man have enabled this cycle of sin to continue. Scripture warns us: "The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord is kept safe" (Proverbs 29:25 WEB). It is not loving to ignore sin, it is a failure of shepherding. We pray that God would raise up bold messengers, as you have asked, who will speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and call her to account with the Word of God. The church must intervene, not with timidity, but with the authority of Christ, for "if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother" (Matthew 18:15 WEB). If she refuses to listen, the church must follow the steps of discipline outlined in Scripture, for the sake of her soul and the purity of the body of Christ.

We take seriously your request for a "hedge of thorns" around her, as Hosea 2:6-7 describes. Father, we ask You to erect barriers that she cannot breach, may every ungodly connection be severed, every online profile be taken down, and every door to temptation be shut. Let her be hemmed in by Your holy boundaries, that she may come to her senses and return to You. We pray she would be delivered from the evil one, who prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Protect her from the deception of evil men and imposters who would lead her further astray, for "evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Timothy 3:13 WEB). Let her not be deceived by the lies of the enemy, for "God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7 WEB).

We also cry out for repentance that bears fruit. It is not enough to feel remorse, true repentance produces change. John the Baptist declared, "Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance" (Matthew 3:8 WEB). We pray she would turn from her sin, confess it before God and those she has wronged, and walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). May she experience the refreshing that comes from the Lord, as Peter preached: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19 WEB). And if there has been physical unfaithfulness, we pray that no child would be conceived in this sin, for the sake of the innocent and the glory of God.

We also lift up her sister, that she would not shrink back in fear but stand firm in righteousness, even if it means suffering reproach. May she find courage in the example of Christ, who "endured the cross, despising its shame" (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and may she be willing to bear His reproach outside the camp (Hebrews 13:13). The church must not compromise for the sake of comfort, it must stand for truth, even when it is costly.

For you, dear intercessor, we pray for wisdom, clarity, and inner healing. The burden you carry is heavy, and the enemy would love to wear you down with discouragement or temptation. But the Lord is your Shepherd, and He restores your soul (Psalm 23:3). We ask for the Holy Spirit’s strength to sustain you in your duties, grace to fast and seek the Lord fervently (Isaiah 58:6-12), and protection from every snare of the enemy. May you walk in the full armor of God, that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We declare over you the promise of Jesus: "Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41 WEB).

Finally, we must emphasize that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this dear one has not truly surrendered her life to Christ, all other interventions will be in vain. We pray that the eyes of her heart would be opened to see her need for a Savior, that she would repent and believe in Jesus, who died for her sins and rose again to give her new life (Romans 10:9-10). Only in Him can she find true freedom, forgiveness, and the power to walk in holiness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, yet full of faith in Your power to save. We ask You to move mightily in this situation. Hedge this woman in with thorns, Lord, that she may turn back to You. Convict her of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Raise up bold messengers to speak truth into her life. Break the chains of deception and deliver her from the evil one. Bring her to repentance that bears fruit, and restore what has been broken. Heal her family, strengthen her sister, and grant wisdom to all who are involved. Protect and sustain this faithful intercessor, and let Your will be done in every detail. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for Your glory and her good. Amen.
 
We hear you, your love for this woman and your weariness in the fight. Father, we lift this woman to You. In Jesus' name, we ask You to hedge her in, to frustrate every attempt to meet anyone who would exploit her, to break the pull of online profiles and the lies that entangle her. Give her a clear, piercing sight of her own condition and true godly sorrow that leads to life. Heal the wounds beneath the choices, and surround her with people who will speak truth in love without fear. For this one who prays so faithfully, grant fresh clarity, inner quiet, and the grace to keep fasting and standing. Guard them from temptation and evil, and let Your will be done. Amen.
 
You have cried out for a hedge of thorns to be set about this wandering one, and it is a prayer after the Lord’s own heart, for His Word is full of such merciful restraints. The way of the slothful and the wayward is indeed a hedge of thorns, but mark this: a hedge raised by God is a wall of salvation, not of cruelty. He will block her path with briers that she cannot break through, that she may turn back and find the plain way of the righteous. The thorn that tears the flesh is often the messenger of healing, just as a crown of thorns was pressed upon our Redeemer’s brow before the crown of glory. Pray on, then, and let no discouragement silence you.

You speak of a pastor who fears man. Remember, he that looks God in the face every morning will never fear the face of man. Cry out that the Lord would set His prophet’s eyes upon the King, the Lord of hosts, and break the snare of the fear of man which brings a snare. The arrow of deliverance must be shot by human hands, but it is the Lord’s own power that gives it speed. You are that bow; be strong, and let the hands of Elisha rest upon yours, for deliverance is of the Lord alone. Do not think your prayers are weak because the answer tarries; a man eaten up with zeal is a weapon God delights to use.

Inner healing you plead for, ah, the wounds of the spirit are deep, and from the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness. But lift your eyes: there is a Balm in Gilead, a Physician there. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, and the light of His countenance is the surest remedy for a broken heart. Only walk still in fellowship with Christ, and the fear of death, the torment of the past, the dread of what may be, these will lose their sting.

Concerning her, let your prayers be sharpened with longing that her repentance may not be a mere terror of consequences, but a true turning. That repentance which is born only of fright is but another form of self-love. Oh, for the repentance that makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ! Such repentance glorifies God and brings lasting fruit. Pray that she may see her desert of hell and yet see the open arms of the crucified One, for faith and repentance are twins born at the foot of the cross.

You are grieved that she nests among thorns, yet remember the Lily among thorns is still a lily, pure and white in Christ’s sight, if she be His. The thorns lacerate the hands that would pluck her out, but the Lord’s hands were pierced far deeper for her redemption. He knows how to disentangle His own. And what of the men who prowl like imposters? Their way too shall become a hedge of thorns at the last, blocking them out from heaven, unless they repent.

Do not faint in this holy war. Fast and pray again, shoot arrow after arrow, for the zeal of the Lord’s house will consume you if you let it, and that is a fire sent from heaven. “The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance” often requires a steady hand and a repeated aim. Strike the ground with the arrows again and again until the victory comes. You have asked for wisdom, clarity, and protection; these are promised to those who abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall trust.

Look not to the bulk of the wicked, nor to the slowness of the church; look to the Lord who delivered Israel from the iron furnace. He can make this soul loathe the flesh-pots of Egypt and bring her forth with silver and gold of grace. Only be sure that you yourself do not sow to the flesh while praying for another. Liberty is not license; the liberty of a child of God is to walk in holiness without hindrance. Walk in that liberty, and your prayers shall have power.

Let the tears you shed for her be mingled with the oil of gladness that Christ has conquered for His own. Go again to the mercy seat, not with the despair of one who thinks all lost, but with the confident expectation of a child who knows his Father delights to give good gifts. The hedge will be planted, the arrow will strike, and perhaps you shall yet see her restored, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in her right mind.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

 
You speak of thorns, and rightly so, for the woman you love is entangled in them indeed. But understand what thorns truly are: the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches, which choke the word and make it unfruitful. The sin of adultery, of seeking after men through these online snares, is a bitter fruit, but it springs from a soul that has first been overgrown with these thorns. The fear of man that paralyzes her pastor, the compromise that silences her family, these too are thorns. And what must be done with thorns? They must be rooted out, not merely trimmed. You pray for a hedge of thorns from Hosea, and that is a fearful mercy, a wall of suffering to block her path to destruction. God may indeed grant it, but if He does, it will not be a pleasant sight. It is a desperate remedy for a desperate disease, and while we may ask for it, we must also be ready to tremble at the answer.

Do not imagine, however, that the evil men and impostors are her only danger. The enemy within is far more perilous. Pride defiles more than fornication itself, for the fornicator may plead desire, but pride has no excuse at all. It is a distortion of the soul, a disease born of folly. See then that your own soul is not infected with it as you pray. Do you stand? Then take heed lest you fall. It is easier for a dried stick to resist a great fire than for sin to resist the power of love, but that love must be a true love. The man who truly loves a woman would not add to her sin but would strive to draw her away from it. Thus, her so-called lovers hate her, even if they speak sweet words. Pray then that she may see this, that conviction may pierce her heart, and that she may flee from idolatry, for all such sin is idolatry, as one flees from a burning house.

You mention the pastor who fears man. Remember that the fear of man is a snare, and a compromised shepherd leaves the flock to wolves. Yet even this is a thorn to be rooted out by prayer and fasting, not by your own strength. The sword of the Spirit, the word of God, is sharp enough to divide soul and spirit, and God knows how to raise up messengers. Cease then from anxiety over the failings of others, and look to your own heart. Are you storing up wrath for yourself? Not God’s wrath vindictively, but you will treasure it up if you remain unyielding in bitterness or self-righteousness. The ways of those who remember injuries lead to death. You have been wronged, perhaps deeply, but to hold onto that memory is to practice evil. Forgive, lest your prayers be hindered.

You ask for inner healing, and rightly so, for the whole head is sick and the whole heart faint. But healing comes through repentance, not merely for her but for all. The old man must be put off, corrupted as it is by deceitful desires, and the new man put on, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. This is not a gentle rearrangement of the furniture of the soul; it is a death and resurrection. Let your fasting, then, not be a mere hunger strike to move God, but a genuine emptying of self. Fasting unties the cords of wickedness and breaks every yoke. It humbles the soul, and a humbled soul God will not despise.

Do not be deceived into thinking you can bear this on your own. God provides the way of escape, that you may be able to endure. But that endurance is not a stoic hardening; it is a clinging to Christ, who became sin for us though he knew no sin. If even Paul feared lest after preaching to others he himself might be disqualified, how much more should you work out your salvation with fear and trembling? The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness, small and great. But remember also that the same God is rich in mercy, and the goodness of God leads to repentance. So pray for her repentance, not with a vindictive hope of seeing her shamed, but with a deep groaning that she might be restored, that she might bear fruit worthy of repentance and receive times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.

Do not lose heart. The sinners in Corinth were washed, sanctified, justified. The woman caught in adultery was not condemned but sent away to sin no more. The power of love, divine love poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, can consume the deepest sin like fire consumes stubble. Only let your faith be not in the eloquence of your prayers or the rigor of your fasting, but in the mercy of God. And when you pray, as you have quoted our Lord, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,” mean it not only for her but for yourself, lest you too enter into temptation. The tempter is crafty, and our confidence is often his foothold.

To the matter of the online profiles: indeed, they must come down, for they are doorways to destruction. But conviction is the work of the Spirit, not the clamor of human insistence. Pray that the Spirit will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. And when that conviction comes, let the church and family be ready to receive her with tears and not with stones, with the embrace of the father to the prodigal, not the resentment of the elder brother. That, too, is a thorn that must be uprooted.

Now, go to your duties. Strength will be given. The way will be made. But set your face like flint toward the heavenly Jerusalem, bearing the reproach of Christ outside the camp, for here we have no lasting city. And may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
 
What you’ve laid out in prayer is heavy, and I can sense the anguish behind it. The very fact that you’re asking God to raise up a hedge of thorns speaks to a desperation born of love, and that’s not misplaced. In Scripture, a hedge of thorns is sometimes an act of mercy. When the way of the slothful or the wayward is blocked by painful barriers, it’s because God is determined to stop a path that leads to destruction. He will wound the feet that run toward a cliff’s edge. So keep praying that every deceitful path becomes too painful to walk.

The thorns you ask for are exactly what the parable describes, only in reverse: the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things usually choke the Word from the outside. But here, you’re pleading that God uses those same thorns to wall her in from the very temptations that would choke out her life. He can do that. Hosea’s picture of a hedge to block a wayward wife is a severe kindness. Pray that she feels the sharpness of that barrier every time she reaches for what will destroy her.

But what you’re up against isn’t just a person’s stubbornness, it’s a heart that has been seduced by what looks like the Song of Songs but is actually the vanity of vanities. The world peddles a counterfeit intimacy, full of passion but empty of the covenant love of Christ for His bride. The online profiles, the secret meetings, the adultery, these aren’t love; they’re a cheap imitation that leaves the soul more wounded than before. You mentioned Isaiah’s words about wounds and bruises: those inner sores fester when we seek healing anywhere but the Great Physician. So pray not only for the hedge, but for her to see that the Lover of her soul is the one she’s spurning.

You long for messengers armed with the sword of the Spirit. That sword, the living Word, is what divides soul from spirit and discerns the thoughts of the heart. It is the only thing sharp enough to cut through the self-deception and the fear of man that has paralyzed those who should speak. It’s painful when those closest to her, family, a pastor gripped by the fear of man, stay silent. But God often raises up voices from unexpected places. Pray for a Nathan who will say, “You are the woman,” and for her heart to respond not with the tears of Esau, tears of anger and bitterness over lost blessings, but with the tears of true repentance that turn from sin and cling to mercy.

True repentance doesn’t just regret consequences; it leaves the sin. The foundation you’re asking for is the one laid in Hebrews: repentance from dead works and faith toward God. Not just sorrow that might come from getting caught, but a whole turning. So when you pray for her to take down the profiles, to confess adultery, to be delivered from evil men and imposters, you’re praying for fruit that matches a changed mind. And while you’re at it, pray that she’d be clothed in the linen of righteousness, like those who minister in the inner court, pure garments that come only from the Bridegroom.

For you, the request for wisdom, clarity, and inner healing is right. Standing in this kind of gap is draining. The way of the righteous is made plain, as Proverbs says, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. The hedge of thorns isn’t just for her; it’s protection for you and for all who love her. So when you fast and pray, you’re not just battling against flesh and blood, but against the deceiver who masquerades as an angel of light. Keep asking to be led not into temptation yourself, and keep holding up the shield of faith.

Can God keep her from becoming pregnant? Absolutely. He can also use the very shame and consequences to bring her to the end of herself. But the bigger request is that she would not use grace as a license to keep sinning, denying the Master who bought her. The one who sows to the flesh will reap destruction. That’s not a threat; it’s a spiritual law as certain as gravity. But the same verse promises that the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life. So pray toward that harvest.

The church has often looked at a straying one and seen only the thorns around her. But the Bridegroom looks and says, “As a lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.” He sees what she was meant to be. The world tramples lilies; the Gardener rescues them. Christ’s heart is ravished by the purity of His bride, and He calls to her even now. Your prayers are part of that call, a voice in the darkness that looks for the morning.

Keep your eyes on the day when the inner court gates will be open wide, and the prince will stand by the post. Until then, labor in prayer, speak truth in love, and trust that the God who establishes the border of the widow will also guard the heart of this wandering one. He is not mocked, and He is not slow. He will finish what He starts.
