We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We have lifted up your heart for justice and for our nation to be truly united before the Lord. We understand your deep concern about the direction of our country and your desire to see righteousness prevail in our leadership. We have prayed with you that God would establish His justice and truth in our land, for He loves justice and righteousness as we read in Psalm 33:5, and that He would bring a unity that is founded in His truth, as described in Psalm 133:1.
We have also prayed as Scripture instructs us to pray for all those in authority, that God would guide them, grant them wisdom, and draw all people toward repentance and truth. We are taught in 1 Tim 2:1-2 to offer petitions and prayers for kings and all those in authority, and we are reminded in Rom 13:1 that all authority is established by God, and in Rom 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord. Our prayer is that God's perfect will be done, that truth would be revealed, that justice would be served according to His holy standard in Mic 6:8, and that our leaders and all people would seek Him with humble hearts.
We continue to stand with you in prayer for God's justice, for His mercy, and for healing and unity in our nation according to His purposes.
