Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart for wisdom and guidance in this demanding season is heard, and God sees both your weariness and your desire to honor Him in these practical decisions.
Scripture presents wisdom as something that calls out openly to all who will listen, inviting us to receive it. It is described as the principal thing to seek, more valuable than riches, and it begins with a reverent fear of the Lord. That is simply a humble recognition that God knows what is best and a willingness to follow His ways. True wisdom is not merely information or clever ideas. There is a wisdom of this world that leads to striving and confusion, but the wisdom that comes from above is pure and peaceable and leads to a life that reflects His character. In Jesus Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so when you ask Him for wisdom you are asking the One who Himself is wisdom.
Like Solomon, who asked not for wealth or honor but for an understanding heart to make right judgments, you can ask freely. God is pleased when His children ask for wisdom, and He promises to give it generously to those who ask in faith. For your appointments, that means you can come before Him and ask Him to bring to your mind what needs to be discussed, to help you remember what the doctors have already addressed, and to give clarity about what still needs attention. It is wise to ask Him to guide your words and to give the doctors insight as well. If appointments overlap, ask Him to order your steps and to show you how to handle the scheduling with peace and without anxiety.
You also mentioned being too tired and needing to rest well and wake soon. The Bible speaks of a rest that remains for the people of God, a rest we enter by faith, not by our own effort. It is not about trying harder to earn peace, but about trusting that Jesus has finished the work and that you can rest in His care. Faith is the key to that rest. When you cannot see the whole path ahead, you can still rest in the One who does see it, believing that He will sustain you and give you strength when you need it. That rest allows you to lie down and sleep in His hands, trusting Him to renew you and to wake you in His timing.
The verse you shared is a precious promise. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. That does not mean difficulties will not come, but that God Himself is your defense and your justice. He will be your protection and will vindicate you in His perfect way and time.
Praying for you now, that the Lord will grant you clear wisdom for what to discuss with your doctor, that He will help you recall what is important and let go of what you do not need to carry, that He will resolve the overlapping appointments according to His will, and that He will grant you deep, restoring rest and awaken you refreshed. May He fill you with His peace and strength, and lead you step by step by His Spirit. In the name of Jesus, amen.
