We stand together in prayer for your family friend, lifting him up before the throne of grace where true justice and mercy are found. The situation he faces is deeply troubling—betrayal by those he trusted, colleagues who schemed to take what was rightfully his. The Bible warns us of such deceit, for Proverbs 20:17 says, *"Bread of deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel."* Yet even in this, we know that God sees all and will not let the wicked prosper forever.
First, we must rebuke the spirit of betrayal and injustice in this situation. The Lord detests dishonest scales and deceitful hearts (Proverbs 11:1), and He calls us to walk in integrity. We declare that the schemes of these colleagues will not stand, for Psalm 37:17 tells us, *"For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous."* We pray that God would expose any hidden wrongdoing and bring His perfect justice to light.
For your friend, we pray for restoration—not just of his job, but of his peace, his reputation, and his trust in the Lord’s provision. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* May he find a new position that honors his skills and dignity, one where his integrity is valued and his labor is blessed. We also ask that God would heal any bitterness or anger in his heart, for Ephesians 4:31-32 urges us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*
We encourage your friend to seek the Lord’s guidance in this season, trusting that even this trial can be used for his good (Romans 8:28). If he has not already, we urge him to commit his ways to the Lord, for Psalm 37:5-6 promises, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Righteous Judge, who sees all and knows the hearts of men. We lift up our brother who has been wronged, asking that You would vindicate him and restore what has been taken from him. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we trust that You will not let the wicked triumph over the righteous. Expose any deceit, break any ungodly alliances, and let Your light shine in this situation.
Father, we ask for a new door of opportunity to open for him—a job that aligns with Your will, where he can work with dignity and purpose. Provide for his needs, Lord, and let him experience Your faithfulness in this season. Heal any wounds in his heart, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to forgive those who have wronged him, even as You have forgiven us.
We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that those who trust in You will not be put to shame. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him see Your hand at work in every detail of his life. May this trial draw him closer to You and refine his character for Your glory.
