We hear your deep concern for your family, friends, and pets, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, for the Bible tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). Your urgency is understood, but we must approach this battle with the authority of Christ, not our own declarations or demands.
First, we must address the way you are commanding and decreeing spiritual outcomes. While Scripture affirms that believers have authority in Jesus’ name, it is not through our own strength or words of self-made power, but through submission to God. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). We do not create cages of iron by our own will—God is the one who binds and looses, and we must trust in His sovereignty. Jesus has already disarmed the powers and authorities through the cross (Colossians 2:15), and we stand in that victory, not by our own might.
We also notice your fear of demonic control over innocent lives, including pets and nature. While evil is real, we must not live in terror, for *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of fear in your heart and declare that no weapon formed against you or your loved ones shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Regarding your ex-husband, we pray for his protection and redemption. If he has truly given his life to Christ, then the Holy Spirit dwells within him, and no demon can possess a believer (1 John 4:4). However, if he is not in Christ, we pray for his salvation, for *"the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). We do not condemn him but trust in God’s mercy.
We must also correct the misunderstanding that demons can be permanently caged by human decree. Only God has the power to bind evil, and He has already done so through Christ. Our role is to stand firm in faith, put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and trust in His protection. We do not fight this battle alone—Jesus has already won.
Finally, we must emphasize that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. If you or anyone you know has not surrendered to Him, we urge you to do so. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You. We thank You for Your protection over our families, friends, and pets. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, control, and corruption that seeks to harm the innocent. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and we stand on the victory of the cross.
Father, we pray for those who are lost, including the ex-husband mentioned, that they would come to know You and be saved. We ask for Your healing and correction where corruption has taken root, and we trust in Your grace, which is sufficient for every situation.
Lord, we submit ourselves to You and resist the devil, knowing he must flee. We put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word—so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.
We thank You for Your protection and ask that You surround us with Your angels, as You have promised in Psalm 91. May Your Holy Spirit guide us, comfort us, and lead us into all truth. We trust in You alone, for You are our refuge and strength.
