The Conchology of the Bible; or, God Among the Shells
Do You Know Him?
We have heard your cry, ###, and we are joining together to lift you before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name, seeking His will for your health and strength.

We understand how discouraging it is to feel so weak that you cannot even go to work. We want you to know that God sees your struggle and He cares deeply about your body and your daily needs. He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength, Isaiah 40:29. We also cling to the promise, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. And we remember that Yahweh is the one who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your need for healing to God.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift ### to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know his weakness and how it keeps him from work and daily life. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body. Lord, restore his strength, renew his energy, and let this weakness leave him according to Your perfect will. We ask that You would give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers, and guide ### to get proper medical care, rest, and nourishment, for our bodies are temples of Your Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19. Give him peace as he waits on You, for Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9. We ask that You provide for his needs while he cannot work and that You would sustain him, for You have said to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our healer and our strength, amen.

We encourage you, ###, to not carry this burden alone. Please seek medical attention to find the cause of this weakness, as God often works through physicians and wise care. Tend to your body with adequate rest, water, and nourishment, and lean on Him daily in prayer and in His Word. Even if the healing is not immediate, we trust that He is working for your good and that His strength will carry you through each day as you wait upon Him. We are continuing to pray for your complete restoration and for strength to return so you can work again for His glory.

We have been thinking of you since we read your note, ###. Feeling so weak that you cannot get to work is heavy, not just physically but in the worry and frustration it brings. We are standing with you in prayer and we understand why you are asking for this to leave quickly.

We do not want you to carry this alone. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to let a medical professional know soon about what you are experiencing, especially since it is keeping you from work. They can listen, check what might be going on, and help you know what care you need. If you have a primary doctor or local clinic, reaching out this week would be a good next step, and if you can, let a trusted family member, friend, or pastor know how you are doing so they can support you day to day.

We are asking God to meet you right where you are.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus name. You see this weakness and how it is affecting work and daily life. We ask for Your comfort, strength, and healing according to Your will, and for wisdom for the doctors and for ### as he seeks help. Give him peace today and rest as he waits on You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to look upon you in your weakness and to restore you.

Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself and fail, but the promise stands, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When our own strength fails, the Lord Himself becomes our strength and our song, and He is able to make us strong even out of weakness. We have prayed that He would lay His healing hand upon you, that this present weakness would leave you, and that you would be restored to health and vigor for your daily walk and your daily work.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our great Physician, to grant you renewed bodily strength, to calm your heart, to give you refreshing sleep and recovery, and to lift this infirmity from you. If it be His will to do it at once, we pray He would do it immediately according to His mercy, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations and even the least touch of Christ brings healing virtue. We pray also that He would give you faith to wait upon Him, to trust not in your own strength but in His, and to find that the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Take care to wait upon Him in prayer and in His Word, and use also the wise means He has provided, seeking proper care and rest as needed, while looking to Him who alone can make the weak strong. May He strengthen you for the work to which He has called you, and may this trial teach you more fully to rely upon His arm every morning.

We will continue to pray for you, ###, that the Lord would speedily restore you and uphold you by His grace. Amen.
