Disciple of Prayer
I just need prayer. My apartment recertification keeps getting pushed back and rescheduled. I'm having great anxiety over it. It's rescheduled for tomorrow and I need prayers that God is with me ahead of me and that God will grant me favor with the apartment management and we won't lose our home. Also, my dad has been in my mind lately. We were close and he was the person who most understood me. He cut me off unexpectedly when I was ###. I never fully gotten over his departure in my life and want God to bless him wherever he is and that he is happy and maybe thinks of me once in a while. Also, my ex hasn't paid child support yet and I'm hoping maybe the holiday just through off payment for the day Please pray that God will work everything out and I get child support payments soon and on time

We hear the anxiety in your heart and we are joining you together in prayer before our Heavenly Father, bringing each of these burdens to Him in the name of Jesus.

We understand how unsettling it is when your housing feels uncertain, especially when appointments keep being pushed back and rescheduled. We pray with you that God will go ahead of you tomorrow and grant you favor with the apartment management, and that your home will be secure. Scripture reminds us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 We are also clinging to His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8 and When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 We pray that the hearts of those in management will be inclined toward kindness and fairness, for The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1 We ask God to give you peace tonight, to help you rest, and to prepare every document and detail you need so you can walk in tomorrow with calm and confidence, trusting that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

We also lift up the ache you carry regarding your dad. To be close to a parent who most understood you and then to be cut off so unexpectedly leaves a deep wound that can linger for years, and we grieve that loss with you. We pray that God, who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3 will continue to heal your heart and bring you wholeness. We pray that you will be able to release any bitterness and walk in forgiveness as we have been forgiven, reminding ourselves to Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 Even when a father turns away, we have this comfort, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. Psalm 27:10 We join you in asking God to bless your father wherever he is, to keep him in His mercy, to draw him to Himself, and to grant you both peace. If it is God's will, we pray for restoration, but above all we pray that you will know you are fully seen and understood and loved by your Heavenly Father who never leaves.

We also bring before the Lord your concern about child support. We know how heavy it is to wait for provision that your family is depending on, and we pray that God will work everything out and that payments will come soon and then continue faithfully and on time. God has revealed Himself as A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 68:5 He sees your needs and your children's needs. We pray for the heart of your ex to be moved to fulfill this responsibility with diligence and integrity, and we pray for God's provision to cover every need in the meantime, for our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 We encourage you to continue to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 He is faithful to provide.

We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and peace with Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is in His name we pray with confidence.

So together we pray, Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear one to You. We ask for Your perfect peace to guard heart and mind tonight and tomorrow. Go ahead of this recertification appointment, grant favor with management, let every requirement be met, and keep this home secure according to Your will. Heal the wound left by a father's departure, pour out Your comfort, help to forgive as You have forgiven, bless this father wherever he is and draw him to Yourself, and let Your unfailing fatherly love fill every empty place. Provide for every financial need, move on the heart of this ex to pay what is owed promptly and consistently, and show Yourself as Provider and Defender. We cast all these cares on You because You care so deeply. Let Your will be done and let Your peace reign. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We've been thinking about you as tomorrow approaches and understand why your thoughts are racing. Wanting to keep your home is so personal, and when the date keeps shifting it's natural to feel on edge.

For the recertification tomorrow, we found it can help to make tonight as calm and prepared as possible. We would gather everything in one folder tonight, ID, lease, income papers, any letters from management, and write down two or three questions you want to ask so you don't have to remember them under pressure. Plan to arrive a little early, bring water and a pen, and ask for the name of the person who helps you so you have a clear follow up contact. If anxiety spikes while you wait, stepping aside to pray briefly or text a trusted friend can keep you grounded.

We also hear the tenderness around your dad and the ache of that cutoff years ago, and the strain of waiting on child support. It's understandable to carry both at once and to want peace for him and provision for you.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Please go ahead of them tomorrow, calm their heart, and give them clarity and kindness in that meeting. Provide for their home and their family, and work in the timing of the support payment. Comfort the old wound around their father and lead them in Your gentle care. Amen.

Your burden has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you, for He is gracious to hear the broken and anxious heart.

You speak of anxiety over your home, and that anxiety itself unfits you to meet the difficulty. As we have often learned, anxiety has never comforted anybody, nor has it ever brought any grist to the mill or meal to the barrel. It does not pay, and it dishonors the name of our Father. You are not an orphan child afraid you will not be fed, for you have a Father in Heaven who knows you have need of these things before you ask Him. He is the refuge of His people even when they are under the yoke, and He invites you to make His bosom your refuge. So we pray that you may have done with anxiety and doubt, and mount like the lark to your God and sing as you mount.

We pray for you concerning tomorrow. May the Lord go before you and grant you favor with those who manage your dwelling. We ask that our Heavenly Father, who prevents us with the blessings of goodness and lays up mercies fitted for our peculiar case, would in His providence make a way for you to keep your home and would quiet your heart with the peace that comes from trusting Him. You do not come to Him because there are excellencies in you which qualify you for help, but because you feel unfit to be blessed and therefore anxious for the blessing, and He delights to hear such a plea through Christ.

You speak also of your father who cut you off when you were young, and of a wound you have never fully gotten over. The Lord knows that sorrow. He is the Everlasting Father who does not vacate His office, and when earthly fathers fail, He shows Himself a better Father than the best of fathers could ever be. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and when viewed aright He becomes the object of our gratitude and not of our dread, for the Father Himself loves you. We pray that the Lord would bless you with healing in this place, and that He would work in you the grace to forgive even as you have been forgiven. How can we say Our Father which art in Heaven while holding toward another what we say we cannot forgive. May the Lord give you grace to release that debt into His hands, not because the hurt was small, but because you have been greatly forgiven through the blood of Christ, and He will be your helper and sustainer.

We pray also for your father, that wherever he is the Lord would deal with him according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. If he does not yet know the Savior, we pray that God would draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. May the Lord grant him true happiness which is found only in reconciliation with God, and may the Lord heal what has been broken between you according to His perfect will.

Concerning the provision for your child, we pray that the Lord who knows your need would supply what is required day by day. He sees the delay and the pressure it brings, and we ask that He would move upon what is needful so that what is owed would be provided soon and on time, and that you would be kept from fear by trusting your Heavenly Father as a child trusts, leaving the unknown future in His hands.

Let us pray together. O Blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You that we may cry Abba, Father, and find in that word all we need. Look upon this dear one in anxiety and be their refuge. Go before them tomorrow and grant favor and peace. Heal the wound of a father's departure and teach the heart to forgive as it has been forgiven. Provide for this household as a Father provides for His children, and keep this soul resting in the love of the Father which is in all respects equal to the love of the Son. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our acceptance with the Father. Amen.
