I can identify with Junko’s search for employment and the frustration that goes along with it. I can identify with Angeline’s desire to have her own business doing something she has a natural talent for doing. I always seem to find myself working at jobs that I can barely tolerate. I always feel like they aren’t a right “fit” or they are below my abilities and don’t allow me to use my real talents. And I certainly NEVER find myself doing something that I really enjoy.
Please pray for me , Junko, Angeline and anyone else out there who is searching for that job that would make them feel excited to get up and go to each day. That work that gives them a sense of satisfaction and purpose and makes them feel like they’ve found their little place in the world.
Lord,
Remind us that each of us is worthy of having work that is both life sustaining and fulfilling.
Help those of us who are currently unemployed or are working at jobs that we hate while desperately wishing there was something else we could to pay our bills. Urge us to take hold of our dreams for our lives and our sense of life’s purpose and begin to work in the present moment to make it a reality. Even if on the surface it looks like it might be very difficult to accomplish our life's purpose and make a living to boot, give us the faith needed to believe that money and support flows where our life purpose is also being focused upon, and in far greater abundance than we would ever receive working at jobs or careers that we hate.
Show us that if we begin the process of moving towards accomplishing our life mission that all the pieces begin to fall into place with greater and greater ease. We will feel more alive and awake when we are pursuing that which we love, our days are filled with joy and harmony rather than struggle and strife. Even the old career will become easier to bear when we understand that it is a springboard to where we really desire to be in life. We can remain in our old job even as we are embarking on the new and through it, we may even find people that are happy to lend a hand or can lead us to still others who can help us accomplish our life purpose.
Guide us to spend time with You each day, praying for all of our hopes and dreams for the future and allowing ourselves to become truly excited by the thought of finding our life’s purpose and making it part of our career. Remind us that we deserve to have our days filled with the energy of doing what we love. AMEN
